  • From Thailand, Sisophon is the gateway to Battambang and Angkor Wat. I lived in Sisophon in '79 before we left for the refugee camps for the second time. We lived across the road from where the rock face is (Wall Mountain). There's a temple there now (built in the mid-80's). I visited the town in June '08. It was nice to be back except I couldn't handle the dust and the heat. Thanks for the upload, though.

  • i remember that journey. some bridge had collapsed and we had to travel at night. we found out later it had all benn a plan by our "guides". but overall, that country is my favourite travelling experience.

  • Imagine driving 4 hours on a 90Km road (BB to SR). It could be just one hour if the road is paved.

  • LOL, i remember this. Here it is dusty, but not too bumpy. From Battambong to Siem Riep is even worse. The gov't won't pave the road because then the tourists from Thai won't fly to Siem Riep, they would drive through Battambong, then to Siem Riep.

  • My family lives in Sisophon. I love life over there. Lyna.
