actually, anyone can re-create alexi's sound fairly easily. All they would need is his signature EMG pickup, and a Boss MT-2 or other high gain distortion pedal. it's not too terribly hard. Alexi just uses lots of gain and not a lot of low end.

I'd say that Duncan sound is more juicy than other pickups like EMG but I like EMG more than duncan(i have them in my guitar also) but CoB sound like sound of the other bands used to change as the time flows. They try to experiment with sound and music because they don't want to make mistake like Godsmack(same sound and same shit on every record). I don't really like Blooddrunk but I think that changing some things is a good way to stay original and not to be boring. I hope you understand me:D

Actually he used to play Blackouts for a while after he played an EMG HZ 4 with a gain boost. Now he uses EMG signature pickups (passive) with a gainboost (as well as Roope).
