  • ZZZZZZZZZZZ.

  • all i can say is HOLY SH*T!!! That was badass!! Sorry, im 13, just got into guitar. not used to eargasmic shredding.

  • Too much blues. NO blues in Cars songs.

  • @creepingnet

Thanks so much!! You saved me alot of confusion!! Ive been trying to play some of these since i started playing guitar 2 years ago, im 13.

  • great tone what effects or settings do u use? Rock On!

  • AWESUMMMMMMMMMMM NESSS

  • How did u do the phase inverder thing

  • Nice vintage sound :)

  • dude, you shredddddd.....

  • Great covers!

  • sounds good dude!

  • Your guitar tone is perfect!!

  • if you made this yourself or what ever can u give me the measurements of the body length width degresss etc i cant seem to find any

  • hey good guitar for a home built job great playing and sound from it..enjoy

  • This sounds so awesome! Also, you are one hell of a guitarist!

  • über tone!

  • beautiful tone

  • awesome tone

    great job!

  • Nice Tone !

  • sounds like a gibson adn a marshall. so hawt

  • Guitar sounds great

  • so which is better esp or gibson

  • I don't consider either better, just different. Personally, I like Gibson's version of the Explorer better, the ESP's are too pointy for my taste. The older EXP models they made when Hetfield was an endorser are my faves of the ESP models of their time though.

  • it depends on what style of music you play.. esp would be better for metal. Gibson explorers are not bad for metal either but I would play more rock with that one.

  • esp for metal rock or preaty much anything. the look and play and sound better. at leat thats what i think.

  • esp simply because there far cheaper and have 24 frets which gibson rarely does

  • nice job man

    and a fucking great guitar

    greetings from Germany

  • Dean Dime or explorer?

  • Tough call since I like both.

  • toughest question ever. I've had both. Love em

  • Dean Dime for metal, Explorer for anything from blues to rock. Explorers do metal too, but I think the Dean Dime would be better.

  • Cool guitar. Great sound ....what are you using amp wise?

  • Nice playing!

  • Hell yes! My favorite riff is from the title track.

  • the sound reminds me of the gibson SG

  • Sounds Great! Nice guitar too. :)

  • I used 2 play this sh#t, and U make it seem both easier and yet, more difficult! Sounds like Van Halen and Cars mixed. I geuss it's just me! Old school dave!!!!!!!

  • nice work dude

  • Great! I love the Candy-O riffs!

  • sweet playin man

  • Nice work, BTW.

  • Candy-O is an excellent album. Easton was fantastic on just about every song.

  • Hey i wanted to buy a Explorer ... but then saw I could buy bodies seperatly at Warmoth... do i NEED a finish on the body? It doesnt look like you have a finish on yours? I want to just buy the body cause I have a neck and all the hardware .... minus the body :P and the paint was kinda expensive (for what im looking to do) (ie - trash guitar)

  • Actually, there's a funny story behind the finish....Originally I was going to put a high gloss finish on it, but I could never figure out how to do it, so for months, I was putting this stuff called "Wood Conditioner" on it every few weeks to bring the grain out. Well, one day I left the can open, and it turned into this sticky glue-like stuff, but being cheap, I still used it, and it acted as a wood sealer, lol. So what sealed the wood is dried up wood conditioner.

  • thats the oddest story ever but kool

  • this dude is kick ass

  • you are exellent!!!

  • what's the brand of your guitar it's rare it has a floyd rose

  • This one is a mutt of brands. I built it myself out of several other guitars. Hondo body, Kramer pickup and neck, Washburn wonderbar trem, Ibanez Humbucker in the bridge, lowes plexiglass pickguard, and various bits of hardware from allparts, warmoth, WD musical supply, and so fourth.

  • Great job!!!

  • Nice work! What kind of amp are you playing thru?

    Thanks.

  • Behringer V-Amp Pro

  • Hey wow, that was awesome , Maybe some time you could do those songs individually!! mean while thanks for the inspiration. Can you tall me where I could learn those songs at on the computer or something?? that would be adream come true for me. I learned how to play the drums from the Cars music a long time ago and now I am playing the Guitar twenty something years later. Appreciate your contrabution!!!!! send me a messgae if you get a chance with info!!

    Thanks!!!

  • Why is there NO VIDEO or NO COVERS of "It's All I Can Do" ? It's like the song never existed ?

  • I do find that weird since that seems to be one of the more popular Cars songs. I have a guitar driven cover version of the song that I've been working on, but I need to figure out how to play back a backing track while I play the guitar parts onto youtube for it to be a full blown cover. My sound card does not surpport recording from the CD-ROM and the line-in at the same sime.

  • I look forward to that. Maybe I'll beat you to it (I play as well). We'll be THE FIRST.

  • Great job. Great choice of music. I wish someone would make some videos of the songs from that album and post them. Since I held you is a GREAT song.

  • Kick Ass!

    That rocked man-Thanks!

  • I love that sound! Great job!

  • amazing guitar/playing, nice shirt;)

  • dang, that guitar has exellent sound. how much that baby cost ya?

  • The Hondo Deluxe Series 780 body was free, the neck came off a $150.00 Kramer Striker, as did the neck pickup, bridge cost $20, plexiglass was free off the curb, paint for pickguard $0.98, bridge pickup $20.00, the rest probably totaled around $20...so that's roughly $210.98 for a guitar I built myself out of spare parts.

  • Aaaargh...it looks like Blackbeard on yer shirt.

  • It is, there's a place called Pirates Plunder store in Downtown Seattle I visited, that's where I got the shirt.

  • Hahahhahahahah! That is awesome!

  • Awesome dude....Candy-O is one of my favorite albums of all time! Good Job!

  • Great tone as well

  • I never would have expected this ou of anybody. Your my new favorite guitarist.

  • good job, i wanna learn "let's go" and "candy-o" but i don't find any tabs or guitar pro tabs:s

  • Nice! Good sound. Does the guitar easily fall out off tune? Not that I noticed any horrible notes, but just wondering ;P Anyway - Nice guitar. Looks staggering.

    Peace

  • Yeah, it has a few neck issues due to being a bolt-on neck on an Explorer-style body (not the strongest neck joint around). I just get around it by being careful.

  • You can't beat a Washburn Wonderbar....and thats all there is to it...very nice tone as well

  • Thats Cool Man...where did you pick up the Striker Neck...Ive been looking for one to replace the neck on my Kramer

  • It's actually off a Kramer Striker ST-100 that I own. The Striker has a Warmoth neck I found on a DiMarzio Strat body (on the Mutt Strat, in my Loverboy guitar video, which now sports a Squier neck). I find most of my parts in thrift stores or in the back room at mom and pop music stores.

  • Nice ;-)=
