haha yes, if you wish for your horse to become on the bit. although to start off with just lunge with side reins and he may go on the bit automatically once he gets the idea. only use either of these if you know how to :)
Do not use draw reins if you can not get your horse to properly track up and use his hind quarters, it is far better to spend extra time getting the horse to carry his own weight then go to a crutch (any gadget)
in my opinion just for pulling the horses head down and hide the mistakes of the rider. just my opinion and i'll keep it it in mind whenever i see a video like this.
Its for riders who cant make the horse work whitout someting that drag down the horse's head. Its not a good help to use them, get a trainer and learn to ride instead! (I know that there is some really good riders who uses the draw reins but they CAN already make the horse work)
@horsey683 Draw reins are for people who don't understand or just can't ride the horse from back to front. Instead of encouraging the horse to step under use it's back and then seek the bridle, they simply use blunt force. Pull it's head down, force it to it's forehand and create extreme tension in the horses back. So what are draw reins for? BAD RIDERS!
just curious... what are draw reins for???

your horse looks very nice. good luck selling him.
he is overbending a bit though. thats never good. you might should try loosening the draw reins some or maybe even taking them off.

he's working behind the vertical. his head shouldn't be that far in. maybe u should take the draw reins off
