The peace keepers looks like AU, not UN. I heard only a few UN troops are in Darfur and alot of AU troops are in Darfur.

I'm not sure though.

the soldiers seem to come from the AU, but i think they are paid by the un.

greetings! UNAMID is runned by the UN, but it seemes that the most troops are from africa. Before UNAMID there was the AU troop AMIS (maybe its the same soldiers and just a new name?)

what i would say, is that today the most of the UN Soldiers are provided by the so called third world. but the money comes from the wealthier countries. many poor nations (like bangladesh) are financieng their own armies whith such missions. i would wonder if its different in africa.

Security will not come to Darfur until more UN peacekeepers are sent to Darfur and the UN cannot afford to arrest President Bashir until there is security for Darfur.

Africa attacks the west when it gets involved in "Africas issues". People there always say the problems must be solved by Africa.

Its just ashame they dont have more democratic countries on that continent willing to supply more troops.
