you don't listen to too many great country tunes or singers then - they're always making me cry.... really listen to the words --- of some of your music any music --- they tear your heart.

Also the worst is when the song already makes you cry and you see the official video clip or one someone has made for a loved one -- done right makes be bawl --- then of course every time you hear the song your mind's eye plays the video and your a mess.

This song was written by Gordie Sampson and sold to Carrie Underwood... just like he co-wrote, and then sold, "Jesus Take The Wheel". It's too bad that he hasn't posted a version of himself singing this song, then you'd get to hear the 'real' original. He's an amazing song-writer and performer.

I love Hillary Lindsey's voice - I wish she'd cut an album herself (as it is "The Clown" is the only song she's officially recorded, on a compilation album). As a writer, she's outstanding. Carrie has said in interview that this is her favourite song on the new album - and I can see why. Carrie changes "hurt like Hell" to "break my heart", incidently (presumably to make her version more radio-friendly). A great song - thanks for posting it!
