It's free plus can actually make you money personally if you produce more than you use you can sell it to your neighbors for cheaper. Cars are needed but we've discovered other means to make fuel already so that shouldn't be a huge problem (maybe at first). Instead of plastics (made from oil) we can use hemp and make similar materials.
