The only reason i got the Wii version was because i didn't have a PS3 at the time. But i like the Wii version just i like the PS3/Xbox360 version a bit better.

People...people the wii/PS2 versions sucks compared to the PS3/360. You can't boost for an unlimited amount of time like in the PS3/360 version, the wii/ps2 verison focuses more on the combat and fighting than it does speed cause there's like 5 missions with werehog and 1 speed stage and the PS3/360 verison focuses on mainly speed than werehog but it kind of balences out and the PS3/360 verison has better graphics and sites, you can't even go to New York or Africa(Only for the boss) on the Wii.
graphically sonic unleash looks better on the wii by far when you compare it to the ps2, and in truth, it could have looked a lot better, almost similar to sonic colors if the developers weren't making the wii version to be compatible to the ps2
@sonicmastermind because the wii and ps2 have weak specifications and wouldn't be able to handle it so they had to change the oh-so crisp and detailed wonderfulness of the ps3/360 version into something a sinclair spectrum would sick up.

I prefer the PS3 version, but I don't own a PS3(I played it at my brother in-laws). :P
There are so many things I prefer in the PS3 version(though not everybody likes them) the hub worlds, the graphics(though I really don't care THAT much) the Day stage gameplay, the sound(Sonic doesn't talk as much) and the methods of Advancing. It's a pity I don't own a next gen System or I would get it for PS3 or Xbox360
The Xbox360/PS3 Version Seems Like a platforms game with a Faster Character have several parts when you run but the biggest part of the game its jumping and more jumping through the area
The Wii/PS2 Version Its more for running the areas are so LARGE and only have one way only foucs in your future and dont need to go back except when you miss an item
The Night Stages are the same
Conclusion
Wii/PS2 Are for velocity fans and fast level completion
People look at the Wii and PS2 like they're some poor disadvantaged consoles, but to be fair to them both, the Wii is a pioneer console with some unique style gameplay which PS3 and XBOX 360 lack. The PS2 isn't exactly brand new but it is a legendary console in terms of sales and performance, and I think if it had some more attention payed to it, it could still compete with the likes of XBOX 360 and PS3 in terms of quality games (if graphics are overlooked)
I think both versions are good. The XBOX 360 version has better graphics and more levels, but the Wii version has more additional extras, and I think you don't get to go inside the Gaia Gate hubworld in the XBOX version, I think.
i just prefer the 360/ps3 version, i have the ps2 version and it (obviously) has worse graphics, but also the gameplay is more for a 3 year old compared to the 360/ps3 version
i hate how the music gets loud and shows more action on the wii version and less action on the 360 version and u made the 360 version look like a waste of money wen its not
i really have to say that the 360/PS3 version is better. yes i know everything is same story wise but c'mon, on Wii/PS2, we spend no more than 3 minutes, at most, for a day stage. where in a 360 day we can enjoy at least 5-6 good minutes in a bigger stage. plus there are more day acts which make it more enjoyable to play during day. instead of some lame mission in the wii. i have the wii version but now i realize i need to get the 360 version for my 360

play Sonic Heroes its graphics Sure Old and outdated but they look fine to me how ever sonic heroes engine is platforming and fast even faster and more platforming than this and more color full that is beauty of the engine not some realistic graphics like in wii version of SU.

Seriously, Why this game (either Wii or 360) was rated so low?? and a question for 360 or PS3 users, is it true that controls are hard in that version of the game? I have wii version and it was tough to control Sonic in some parts (and I found some sections with unresponsive controls too btw) but anyway it is a good game, definitely better than 6/10...but why the "big" v ersion of the game was so critized?
the ps3 version is better beacuse,1 he runs as fast as hes supposed to, 2 he has an adventure field that you can move around with freeroam, 3 you don't have to fight the big robots that follow you,3 and the ps3 has way better graphics.
I only have the Wii version and i love the game i cant comment bout the other ones cuz i havent played them but the day levels are soooooo fun u just go at high speed and its fun and also its alot easier to play it w/ gamecube controller. its funner and easier.

This game was fairly Decent on Wii and i really loved it but i think they made 3 wrongs:
1-) Lack of more day stages
2-) Lack of more Werehog Combats
3-) Lack of Hub actual hub towns (not just a wallpapper).,
and The Wii is capable of more , it Supports 4 GB DVDS Disk space and the ps2 Supports only 2 GB DVDS while the Wii has 700 MHZ of power and the PS2 Has only 200 MHZ.
I have all 4 versions, the PS3 version is my favourite (better graphics and frame rate than the 360 version) and my second favourite is the 360 version. I personally think the Wii/PS2 version is the most stale and bland Sonic game ever.
I thought about it too many times...And after that, when I lost my xbox360 in new year more I like...PS2/Wii version, but there so stupid last boss...And ps3/xbox has STUPID STUPID tornado, Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast) was better...In xbox/ps3 versions Werehog is Bigger, but in Wii/PS2 he is more hairy. Wii has empty levels, but PS3 - long and hard. And also, PS2 and Wii has more cool and dynamically melodies. On PS3/Xbox you can walk about the towns, talk and take photos. And I Hate gates in PS2

the werehog actions are more destructive in the wii version like werehammer and the were-spin specially in eggmanland the only problem they were too less
@Goo95 New ideas are hated because they are bad and stray way too far from what sonic is about. If I buy a Sonic game, it's not for some mindless brawler, it's for the fast paced, platforming action that Sonic became known for. Sonic colours is looking promosing because the new idea of that game compliments rather than comflicts with the speed.

Because people don't buy a Sonic game to fight. Sonic is all about running and jumping. Nothing wrong with fighting, but if you want that, go get God of War or Devil May Cry. This is not what Sonic is, nor what he should be.
@cr7owns because he's called "Sonic" because he moves at sonic speeds. Werehog is slow and boring, which is like the opposite of the reason why people like the Sonic series.
The why is SA2 considered so great? Scavenger hunts and mini mechs isn't exactly Sonic themed either. But people enjoy these games because they sit down, play it, and enjoy it instead of critiquing the game. That's why video games are made.
@Goo95 The wii version didn't have hub-worlds like the 360/PS3 versions of the game do and was much quicker to get between levels rather than wandering around aimlessly in an empty hub-world and only the werehog levels were really empty, so that comes under the werehog catagory rather than a completly seperate complaint.
@stv497 I'm glad you added I think, because I didn't see any reviews that complained about the stages in the Wii version being Empty and Short. when I posted that first comment I hadn't played it yet so I was not actually posting what I thought. Now that I have played it I can say I almost 100% agree with the reviews, accept I liked some parts of the hub world. "if you have an opinion word it as such. If you word it as a fact it should be true."

The PS3/360 version looks better. But the only thing that annoys me is that water running section with all that random crap flying out the water and the towers falling down. But it would have been alot more exciting if a large shark chased sonic like the whale from Sonic adventure.
to be honest, i think that the boost is ALMOST the same thing as the spin dash. i mean, think about it: they both make sonic run faster, burst through enemies, but neither of them make him completely invincible. The only major differences are that the boost allows him to absorb rings and has to be charged with a gauge. The spin dash obviously doesn't but you have to stop and activate it each time. I think they should have done what sonic rush did and kept both, even IF they're both very similar.
i have both, and frankly, i like the "Rrrraah! " sound that he makes; it's funny. he makes plenty of weird noises in the other version anyways. i have both the wii and ps3 version and while i don't hate mazuri or empire city, neither of them are even close to my favourite stages in sonic unleashed. all i'm saying is... they should've put the in spin dash in some way or form in the ps3/xbox360 version because it's classic sonic, not to mention his signature move.

its not barley usable. its used all the time it gives more fun.
s how ever wii/ps2 versions is based on replaying the stages to upgrade your own ability to remember the stage and get to ways to get a lower time like shortcuts its upgrading your brain not upgrading sonic virtually.
the 360/PS3 is based on getting to a lower time by upgrading and reacting fast to get rings to go fast which is fun too.

Th werehog is a nice change of pace and its better on the PS3 360...

Why Sonic Unleashed (Xbox 360 and PS3) has negative reviews. I have the PS2 and ok its cool but in Ps3 has more stages, another gameplay and fantastic graphics

I thinks putting Sonic on the 360 or PS3 is stupid anyway because Nintendo owns sega or a part of it the part being the Sonic part considering he was in SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL WTF WAS UP WITH THAT WHY DID THEY DO THAT HE DOESN'T EVEN PUNCH OR KICK IN ANY OF HIS GAMES until Sonic Unleashed however but technechally it is the werehog

lol what? Are you serious? Let me drop some knowledge on you right quick, Nintendo and Sega are still TWO DIFFERENT COMPANIES. Really where did you hear about Sega being bought by Nintendo? And second, Sonic was in Brawl because Yuji Naka asked for him to be in it on time. He wanted Sonic to be in Melee but when he asked it was too late.

play Sonic Heroes its graphics Sure Old and outdated but they look fine to me how ever sonic heroes engine is platforming and fast even faster and more platforming than this and more color full that is beauty of the engine not some realistic graphics like in wii version of SU.
The PS3 Version has all wii version features and way more.
they Should have focused on make them Similar that way no one would complain.
but still wii version is Great but it Lacks lots of features the 360PS3 Has.

Seriously, Why this game (either Wii or 360) was rated so low?? and a question for 360 or PS3 users, is it true that controls are hard in that version of the game? I have wii version and it was tough to control Sonic in some parts (and I found some sections with unresponsive controls too btw) but anyway it is a good game, definitely better than 6/10...but why the "big" v ersion of the game was so critized?

the ps3 version is better beacuse,1 he runs as fast as hes supposed to, 2 he has an adventure field that you can move around with freeroam, 3 you don't have to fight the big robots that follow you,3 and the ps3 has way better graphics.

I only have the Wii version and i love the game i cant comment bout the other ones cuz i havent played them but the day levels are soooooo fun u just go at high speed and its fun and also its alot easier to play it w/ gamecube controller. its funner and easier.

This game was fairly Decent on Wii and i really loved it but i think they made 3 wrongs:
1-) Lack of more day stages
2-) Lack of more Werehog Combats
3-) Lack of Hub actual hub towns (not just a wallpapper).,
and The Wii is capable of more , it Supports 4 GB DVDS Disk space and the ps2 Supports only 2 GB DVDS while the Wii has 700 MHZ of power and the PS2 Has only 200 MHZ.

I have all 4 versions, the PS3 version is my favourite (better graphics and frame rate than the 360 version) and my second favourite is the 360 version. I personally think the Wii/PS2 version is the most stale and bland Sonic game ever.

360/PS3 version had way too many long automatic play. And that means...you don't do anything for a while, you just sit and watch Sonic roll around.
Though, it's the same for PS2/Wii, just not as much. Either way, the game had way too many automatics.

I thought about it too many times...And after that, when I lost my xbox360 in new year more I like...PS2/Wii version, but there so stupid last boss...And ps3/xbox has STUPID STUPID tornado, Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast) was better...In xbox/ps3 versions Werehog is Bigger, but in Wii/PS2 he is more hairy. Wii has empty levels, but PS3 - long and hard. And also, PS2 and Wii has more cool and dynamically melodies. On PS3/Xbox you can walk about the towns, talk and take photos. And I Hate gates in PS2

@Goo95 New ideas are hated because they are bad and stray way too far from what sonic is about. If I buy a Sonic game, it's not for some mindless brawler, it's for the fast paced, platforming action that Sonic became known for. Sonic colours is looking promosing because the new idea of that game compliments rather than comflicts with the speed.

Because people don't buy a Sonic game to fight. Sonic is all about running and jumping. Nothing wrong with fighting, but if you want that, go get God of War or Devil May Cry. This is not what Sonic is, nor what he should be.

The why is SA2 considered so great? Scavenger hunts and mini mechs isn't exactly Sonic themed either. But people enjoy these games because they sit down, play it, and enjoy it instead of critiquing the game. That's why video games are made.

@Goo95 The wii version didn't have hub-worlds like the 360/PS3 versions of the game do and was much quicker to get between levels rather than wandering around aimlessly in an empty hub-world and only the werehog levels were really empty, so that comes under the werehog catagory rather than a completly seperate complaint.

@stv497 I'm glad you added I think, because I didn't see any reviews that complained about the stages in the Wii version being Empty and Short. when I posted that first comment I hadn't played it yet so I was not actually posting what I thought. Now that I have played it I can say I almost 100% agree with the reviews, accept I liked some parts of the hub world. "if you have an opinion word it as such. If you word it as a fact it should be true."

While i didn't complain at their non-existence but wished they were their (tornado , hub worlds) i wished they were in the wii version.

The PS3/360 version looks better. But the only thing that annoys me is that water running section with all that random crap flying out the water and the towers falling down. But it would have been alot more exciting if a large shark chased sonic like the whale from Sonic adventure.

to be honest, i think that the boost is ALMOST the same thing as the spin dash. i mean, think about it: they both make sonic run faster, burst through enemies, but neither of them make him completely invincible. The only major differences are that the boost allows him to absorb rings and has to be charged with a gauge. The spin dash obviously doesn't but you have to stop and activate it each time. I think they should have done what sonic rush did and kept both, even IF they're both very similar.

i have both, and frankly, i like the "Rrrraah! " sound that he makes; it's funny. he makes plenty of weird noises in the other version anyways. i have both the wii and ps3 version and while i don't hate mazuri or empire city, neither of them are even close to my favourite stages in sonic unleashed. all i'm saying is... they should've put the in spin dash in some way or form in the ps3/xbox360 version because it's classic sonic, not to mention his signature move.

its not barley usable. its used all the time it gives more fun.
s how ever wii/ps2 versions is based on replaying the stages to upgrade your own ability to remember the stage and get to ways to get a lower time like shortcuts its upgrading your brain not upgrading sonic virtually.
the 360/PS3 is based on getting to a lower time by upgrading and reacting fast to get rings to go fast which is fun too.
i think i like both versions
but i like wii/ps2 because they have shortcuts.
