They should do another version of P&P and make Gerard Buttler as Mr. Darcy it would totally work...at least I can see it working. ANYWAY those who are a big fan of P&P should check out a book called Me and Mr. Darcy by Alexandria Potter great rendition to the whole idea of P&P it was really a great light read. I recommend it to any fan

I first discovered Gerard Butler in the "Dear Frankie" trailer on the "Pride and Prejudice" DVD...no, I hadn't even seen "Phantom of the Opera", a technicality which was shortly remedied thereafter.

Further convinces me that Keira Knightley could have never done Christine Daae and that GB is wonderful at everything he does....

Yet, i picture more of GB as George Wickam...he fits so much for the role.

Now, back in 1995, when they were filming P&P Gerard was in the perfect age for Wickam ....I would so much love to see him opposing Colin's Darcy. He would have make the perfect, villain yet lovable Wickam !

Personally, I think Matthew had the looks but lacked the character. All trough the movie he looks sad and heartbroken. As I've read the books dozens of times I expected a more dignified mr Darcy. Now, I know books and movies shouldn't be compared, but it just bugs me as I'm sure Matthew could've done better.

yet I think Gerry is more suitable for the role of Darcy rather than Wickam. I think he would be far better portraying a strong character instead of a sneaky one.
