@celticbattleaxe What is meant by the sign ")0("? "Gateway to the World", the female sex organ? :) Sorry if I do not understand you correctly or hurt your feelings. And the rest I agree with you. Kids do have subtle perception. Their minds open for the direct perception of the world. It is not censored templates and filters.
@YodaTheElder No, you have not :). )O( or )0( represents the Pagan form of the Goddess - the Maiden, Mother, and Crone. The ) represents the waxing moon, or the Maiden. The 0 or O, the full moon, represents the Mother, and thus the ) represents the Crone, the waning moon. Wiccans, Witches, Shamans, and all Pagans use it as a means of saying 'Goddess be with you', hence why it is mostly used after the phrase 'Blessed be'.
@celticbattleaxe Well, as I thought. :) Maiden, Mother, Crone . . . Feminine, creative principle. Therefore, such an ambiguous sign. But there is nothing wrong. In a much more ancient than the Christian cultures around the world frequently used simbols of male and female principles. In Hinduism, for example, a common sacred symbol of God (Shiva, Consciousness) is a "lingam, " - the male sexual organ. A symbol of the Goddess (Kali, Energy) is a "Yoni",- female sexual organ. Their union gives rise
@celticbattleaxe >>> to life. In the Buddhist tantric rituals such as Bhutan is still bless pilgrims, sprinkling holy water them. Just do not do a special broom, as in the Christian Orthodox Church, for example, and made quite a naturalistic cult instrument in the form of the penis:)
@celticbattleaxe Yes, to the point! Look, this principle is contained in the duality of the phenomenal world. Female - male, Yin - Yang, light - darkness, hot - cold, and so on. Even in the binary code - Zero (0) and one (1). Even the graphic form of an image of zero and one (the hole and stick) explicitly refers to the female and male genitals. :) Do not think that I am crazy about this topic:) Just a Christian culture for so long and so severely dilutes and sterilized
@YodaTheElder Agreed - that was one of the bad parts about being Catholic (my previous religion - raised Catholic - didn't like it at all). If expressing sexuality to a partner is "sinful", then does that apply to animals and all other forms of life which reproduce? It's BS if you ask me - what's more is that Catholic priests are constantly being convicted on sex-crime charges because they are celibate. Didn't used to be that way, but the church has got problems with Male and Female unity.
@celticbattleaxe Yes. I agree and fully support. It is fair to distinguish between the actual religion, the phenomenon of its founder, the true followers of his and raised them to the church (of any religious institution, which is in essence the state of socio-political institutions, created to manipulate people's minds). Of course those of the original Biography of the founder of religion and its teachings that conflict with church doctrine - censored and cut out of the canon.
@celticbattleaxe This happens not only because of malice, but because of misunderstanding of the essence of religious teachings, "spiritual blindness" of ignorance. No sacred text by heart knowledge "holy writ" can not replace proper living religious practice and its fruits. Copying the behavior of a holy man, making him the mandatory statute like in the army, do not reach holiness. No one should be forced to make a saint. Martyr, yes - but not a saint. They are trying to copy the result, but
This was one of the faults I had found with christianity. It never suited me, and I wish I wasn't raised Catholic. Sunday school was the worst.
What really annoyed me about the Bible was that SO many books were not included. It also contradicts itself over and over again, and with people taking it literally, LOOK OUT. Example; Bible states that Witches and Pagans should be killed, yet one of the 10 Commandments states 'thous shalt not kill'.
@celticbattleaxe Exactly! Yes, it happens everywhere and at all times. The only argument that can be liars and tyrants to impose their opinions, and which fully shows their true nature is violence. And if they can not prove that bring other benefits, the truth of his teachings (and truth needs no proof, it is natural), in a fit of impotent rage, they burn and desecrate the temple, killed, raped, tortured. And flying in the wind of human history, the ashes Giordano Bruno, Wounded Knee, Celtic,
@YodaTheElder ??You follow the path you despise, man. Sometimes the ashes belong to men who TRIED to impose their opinions, but not successfully. Hard to be in piece with someone who is not in piece with you. When you look only on ashes the winners leave and say it is totally wrong you preach the way of ashes.
@vendsoin In God are all alive. For God is not dead. I do not pray to ashes and dust, to whom he may belong. But I honor the spirit, excellent of its manifestation. While the spirit is alive, there will be new generations of its carrier. When the spirit of humanity runs out, how many billions would inhabit the planet, it will be a cluster of social animals. And as long as mankind will think in terms of "winners and losers" over all of us will hang threat of becoming, one day, in nuclear ashes.
@celticbattleaxe >>> shamanic and all other pagan shrines. But they have not disappeared without a trace. No, no. Their blood soaked into the ground, their spirits soar in the skies, their crystal hearts were broken... and their fragments hit the thousands, maybe millions of hearts around the world. And now I feel sadness, but also hope. In my heart Wovoka still dances Ghost Dance with his brothers. And people of the Goddess Danu is still alive and growing evergreen Tildrassil. There's eternal
@celticbattleaxe >>> shrine Avalon and Shambhala safely hidden in the mists of eternity from unauthorized eyes. Yes, yes. In the end, Reality is only what you feel and perceive.
@YodaTheElder Even worse is how the church discriminated against women for centuries. Midwives, herbalists, ... if women possessed knowledge of any kind, they were burned, including Witches. Anywhere from 300,000 to 9 million people died fro this persecution, including some men as well.
@celticbattleaxe You're right, my brother. In Russia, as well as almost everywhere in the world, Christianity implanted by force, by fire and sword, were ruined and burned the pagan shrines, killing religious leaders, and to eradicate the people the ancient religious rites and festivals. Although the Orthodox and there was no such thing as the Holy Inquisition, but nevertheless the word "witch" has become a negative word, a household name. But, as is typical, and surprisingly, there is clearest
@celticbattleaxe >>> evidence that the word in ancient times did not mean some bad thing. The witch in Russian - "vedma" (sound "d" is soft as in "diggly"). Translated from the Old Slavonic, it literally means "the knowing woman, Woman of Knowledge". Perhaps that is also, like the ancient Celts, Slavs education and training of children was done by women. Indeed, the cultural and philosophical and religious parallels the Slavs and the Celts of Western Europe is obvious and downright striking.
@YodaTheElder Oh, yes - very similar. The Celts respected women with a high degree, from the common courtesy of bowing before a woman to granting equal status in politics and warfare. Women were common on the battlefield, acting as commanders at times, such as the famed Queen Boudicca of the Iceni tribe.
@celticbattleaxe >>> But what is more surprising is the semantic and syntactical relationship of ancient Slavic/Russian, and Sanskrit languages. What can be seen in the example of the same word "vedma"(witch). This two-syllable words, consisting of the syllables "ved" and "ma". "Ved, vedy, vedat" in Russian means the same as in the ancient Indian Sanskrit language, which is "knowledge, to know". So is the literal meaning of the name of an ancient Indian body of knowledge about the world -
@YodaTheElder This is why Buddhism was one of the first religions I investigated, and I am still fascinated by it. Same with Hinduism, Native American Shamanism, and other ancient religions. Heck, the whole purpose of religion is self-improvement through spirituality.
@celticbattleaxe Amazing:) I was fortunate to meet and learn from some of these wonderful teachers of Buddhist teaching. And also Tantra. And it gave me a very, very much. We live in an amazing time. To a variety of knowledge that has been previously secret and hidden from outsiders, you can now get free access. However, it is resurfaced and a lot of dirty foam. And need all the wisdom to distinguish the false from the true, the form of content. Accept and use all useful for their spiritual
@celticbattleaxe >>> growth and to reject all that darkens the consciousness of ignorance chimeras. But it was everywhere and at all times, but the choice is much better than the absence of any choice. :)
@YodaTheElder And perhaps the oldest form of spirituality IS shamanism. Of course, christians believe that this is false (they ignore all the archaeological findings that show otherwise - the oldest artifact of human creation is the image of a Goddess).
I wonder if this is why people have near-death-experiences, so that they realize that something must be changed in their spirituality. Not everyone is supposed to be Christian, Muslim, or whatever else.
@YodaTheElder Spiritual development doesn't come from going to peoples' door and telling them that "if you don't follow our religion, you're going to be damned in the eternal fires of hell". That is total BS. For one, "hell" cannot exist - if it did, every culture around the globe would have a form of "hell" in their religion. Do they? Not at all. The Celts never believed in hell nor a "devil" - same with the Native Americans and Aborigine people. Hell is nothing more than a fear-tactic used...
@YodaTheElder ... to make people convert. The image of the "devil" came from a christian view of the Pagan Horned Deity, known as Cernunnos, Pan, and many other names. Why did the chrisitians use a Pagan Deity? To show how "barbaric" Pagans were, and history became mixed with false conjectures and beliefs, all because the christians simply didn't understand the Pagan ways. Back then, if you weren't Greek or Roman, you were a "barbarian".
@celticbattleaxe Yes, I agree with you. If hell somewhere exists in the Universe, people have opened successfully competing with its branch on the Earth. ;)))
@YodaTheElder Well, I wouldn't call it "sexy" - a well muscled female wearing woad paint and wielding battleaxes, swords, and spears is NOT to be underestimated. The Romans learned that lesson with Queen Boudicca. She and her army of Iceni as well as Trinovantes tribal warriors nearly wiped out all Roman armies in Albion (old name for modern-day England and Scotland).
@celticbattleaxe You mean they were not sexy? :))) Yes, of course, when all the tribes are united and fight every single one, including women, is a formidable force.
@celticbattleaxe Women may compete with men in the endurance and agility on the battlefield. Also, women make great snipers. But what about physical strength, in the fighting with heavy swords and double axe? Obviously, here a woman can not compete with men. But the squad of female archers or sabotage, ambush regiment (with traps), it can be successful. :) Respect do not turn a blind eye to the obvious. With all due respect. :)
@YodaTheElder In physical strength, at least for the Celts, they rivaled men, according to Roman sources. Because women naturally have more leg-muscle then men, women may have been scouts, archers (as you stated), as well as light infantry. But they could also do everything else a man could do if they had to, or if they wanted to. Women often commanded large 'batals' (regiment) of men, such as Boudicca, and this is one of the reasons why the Romans practically $hit their pants in battle. :)
@celticbattleaxe Even so? :) OMG, I just remembered that a series of "Futurama" when the heroes came to the planet of giant women - the Amazons. And do with them "snoo-snoo" . . . ;))) Ok, Celtic men only brought arrows and axes to formidable Celtic women. And then he ran off to avoid being trampled their powerful legs. :))) About the Romans can only guess. Perhaps they were dying, being paralyzed by fear. ;)
@YodaTheElder Typical Romans... they even copied the Gaulish shield for their own armies because of it's protection. They also copied the javelins and tried to copy the fierce falcata sword designs for their troops from the Celt-iberians, only the end-product of the sword was we now know as the "allectus" (people often confuse this with "gladius", but "gladius" simply means "sword" in Latin).
@celticbattleaxe Of course the Romans borrowed something from the conquered people and constantly modernized weaponry and equipment. But this does not mean that the conquered peoples had more advanced weapons and tactics of the battle. "Spartaaa!!!" :)))
@celticbattleaxe Let me think . . . Yes! The Celts were a magic elixir enormously increases the strength and endurance! :))) Well, you know what I mean ... ;)
@YodaTheElder Well, since the Greeks and Celtiberians had relations in trade, it is quite likely that the Celtiberians copied the Greek version of the falcata, or vice-versa.
@YodaTheElder If the Brigantes tribe in the north became involved with her revolution, well... let's just say that things would be quite different today.
@YodaTheElder The Brigantes were equivalent to the Iroquois Confederacy in terms of power. The Romans feared them the most, as they controlled about a 1/4 of modern-day England. The Bretons are the Celts who escaped the Roman invasion of Albion from Cornwall to Brittany, France. Hence, Breton, Cornish, and Welsh are closely tied in language similarities.
@celticbattleaxe Yes, when the mighty Roman Empire was mired in internal conflicts and sharing out of power, then anyone who feels able to gradually drive the Romans from their land. ;) What do you think about the origin of the Basques?
@celticbattleaxe "Recently, Stephen Oppenheimer, a medical geneticist at Oxford University, published a book entitled "The Origin of the British: a genetic detective story. " According to him, the historical record of the origin of these three nations lie in almost every detail. Based on studies of Y-chromosome and mitochondrial DNA, he argues that the ancestors of all three of these people arrived in the British Isles about 15 thousand years ago, after the ice age, when Britain was still part
@celticbattleaxe >>> part of mainland Europe. They have the same genetic code with the Basques and spoke a language close to the Basque language. While the British Isles were settled, because until then for 4 thousand years, there reigned glaciers. And their descendants are mostly for today's population of the British Isles, taking over only in a small way genes later invaders - Celts, novels, Angles, Saxons, Vikings and Normans." And origin of the Basques themselves are amazing new discoveries.
@YodaTheElder Sure!!! I'd love the links. New info is always welcome to me, especially history. You just can't learn enough, but you can learn pretty darn close to most of it :)
@YodaTheElder well, that is logical as it is hard to move large enough amounts of people over the sea to change the genes. It would have been possible only if the invaders would have remained separated for a time to become more numerous. The cultural influence is much easier to introduce.
@YodaTheElder There is a video made by 'astralboobaby' called "Does hell really exist" - I highly recommend it. He has no religious bias, because he follows no set religion. He follows what I would call a from of Shamanism because he is seeking spiritual improvement and well-being of body, mind, and spirit.
@celticbattleaxe >>> not the way to achieve this result. Such attempts are hopeless. Moreover, if the behavior of the biography of a holy man, pulled out whole chapters and much mythologized. The path of self-improvement and achievement of a particular state of consciousness in all its variety of methods and forms that existed and exists in different nations and cultures around the world. And should not be mythologized, and carefully consider how it does science.
Oh yes! Gaea, she was one of the primordial deities in the Greek pantheon, no? The goddess was consort to Zeus, Pontus and Poseidon. She was also mother of Uranus (don't want to really know how that happened) and other Titans. The Greeks referred to her as the Mother Titan or Great Titan. She personafies the Earth, a Greek version of "Mother Nature." Gaea is a concept that is borrowed and used in many works of literature as well. In Asimov's "The Foundation Trilogy" Gaia is the name of a world.

@celticbattleaxe Yes, I agree with you. If hell somewhere exists in the Universe, people have opened successfully competing with its branch on the Earth. ;)))
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder Well, I wouldn't call it "sexy" - a well muscled female wearing woad paint and wielding battleaxes, swords, and spears is NOT to be underestimated. The Romans learned that lesson with Queen Boudicca. She and her army of Iceni as well as Trinovantes tribal warriors nearly wiped out all Roman armies in Albion (old name for modern-day England and Scotland).
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe You mean they were not sexy? :))) Yes, of course, when all the tribes are united and fight every single one, including women, is a formidable force.
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder Well, to you, they'd be sexy :)
I would respect any female carrying weapons, and for that matter, all females as well.
I loved in StarTrek how the Klingons has women warriors as well. :)
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Women may compete with men in the endurance and agility on the battlefield. Also, women make great snipers. But what about physical strength, in the fighting with heavy swords and double axe? Obviously, here a woman can not compete with men. But the squad of female archers or sabotage, ambush regiment (with traps), it can be successful. :) Respect do not turn a blind eye to the obvious. With all due respect. :)
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder In physical strength, at least for the Celts, they rivaled men, according to Roman sources. Because women naturally have more leg-muscle then men, women may have been scouts, archers (as you stated), as well as light infantry. But they could also do everything else a man could do if they had to, or if they wanted to. Women often commanded large 'batals' (regiment) of men, such as Boudicca, and this is one of the reasons why the Romans practically $hit their pants in battle. :)
:)
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Even so? :) OMG, I just remembered that a series of "Futurama" when the heroes came to the planet of giant women - the Amazons. And do with them "snoo-snoo" . . . ;))) Ok, Celtic men only brought arrows and axes to formidable Celtic women. And then he ran off to avoid being trampled their powerful legs. :))) About the Romans can only guess. Perhaps they were dying, being paralyzed by fear. ;)
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder Typical Romans... they even copied the Gaulish shield for their own armies because of it's protection. They also copied the javelins and tried to copy the fierce falcata sword designs for their troops from the Celt-iberians, only the end-product of the sword was we now know as the "allectus" (people often confuse this with "gladius", but "gladius" simply means "sword" in Latin).
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Of course the Romans borrowed something from the conquered people and constantly modernized weaponry and equipment. But this does not mean that the conquered peoples had more advanced weapons and tactics of the battle. "Spartaaa!!!" :)))
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder True, but it sure helped
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Of course. :) But they have not managed to get a Celtic magic elixir. :)
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder Agreed :)
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Let me think . . . Yes! The Celts were a magic elixir enormously increases the strength and endurance! :))) Well, you know what I mean ... ;)
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder Well, let's just say that a falcata has the power to cleave a person's head off.
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Well, of course. :) If the movie "Alexander" is not lying, that Alexander of Macedon was used falkata in battle.
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder Well, since the Greeks and Celtiberians had relations in trade, it is quite likely that the Celtiberians copied the Greek version of the falcata, or vice-versa.
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe And what do archaeologists? Which of the people "falkata" occurs before the Celts or the Greeks?
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder They don't know for sure, unfortunately.
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Or maybe from "snoo-snoo" . . . :)))
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder :)
Makes sense
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder If the Brigantes tribe in the north became involved with her revolution, well... let's just say that things would be quite different today.
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe I do not know anything about the Brigantes. The Brits, Bretons? And these Brigantes now make a revolution? O__o
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder The Brigantes were equivalent to the Iroquois Confederacy in terms of power. The Romans feared them the most, as they controlled about a 1/4 of modern-day England. The Bretons are the Celts who escaped the Roman invasion of Albion from Cornwall to Brittany, France. Hence, Breton, Cornish, and Welsh are closely tied in language similarities.
Revolution? Never knew about that.
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Yes, when the mighty Roman Empire was mired in internal conflicts and sharing out of power, then anyone who feels able to gradually drive the Romans from their land. ;) What do you think about the origin of the Basques?
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder Ah, the Basque. They, too are Celtic, probably being a mixture of Celtiberian and Gaulish, so that would classify them as 'P Celtic'.
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe "Recently, Stephen Oppenheimer, a medical geneticist at Oxford University, published a book entitled "The Origin of the British: a genetic detective story. " According to him, the historical record of the origin of these three nations lie in almost every detail. Based on studies of Y-chromosome and mitochondrial DNA, he argues that the ancestors of all three of these people arrived in the British Isles about 15 thousand years ago, after the ice age, when Britain was still part
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe >>> part of mainland Europe. They have the same genetic code with the Basques and spoke a language close to the Basque language. While the British Isles were settled, because until then for 4 thousand years, there reigned glaciers. And their descendants are mostly for today's population of the British Isles, taking over only in a small way genes later invaders - Celts, novels, Angles, Saxons, Vikings and Normans." And origin of the Basques themselves are amazing new discoveries.

@YodaTheElder Sure!!! I'd love the links. New info is always welcome to me, especially history. You just can't learn enough, but you can learn pretty darn close to most of it :)
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@celticbattleaxe Sent you an article and link personal message. Enjoy :)
YodaTheElder 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder So I shall!!! :):):)
Me thanks!!
celticbattleaxe 6 months ago
@YodaTheElder well, that is logical as it is hard to move large enough amounts of people over the sea to change the genes. It would have been possible only if the invaders would have remained separated for a time to become more numerous. The cultural influence is much easier to introduce.
vendsoin 5 months ago
@vendsoin Yes, probably so. :)

@celticbattleaxe thanx 4 a link, bro. I will search :)
