Regarding Chicago as the birthplace of the modern skyscraper, that is a fact. Regardless of where the first architects who conceived them were born, they had to come to Chicago and NYC to find the proper conditions. Those were the only cities at the time that were forward-thinking enough and had the economic clout to make them practical. Chicago just barely beat NYC to the punch.

I know.And the funny thing is all of the architects of these buildings are either Americans , Europeans or Australians.Arabs themselfs can`t create nothing like that.But, they got the money now.There is another supertall skyscraper which will be build in Arabic country of Bahrein.Its called Murjan Tower and it should be as tall as 3,353 feet with 200 floors.One more is planed also for Dubai and called Al Burj and it could be somewhere between 2,297 and 3,397 ft.
