  • What i heard while this video was going on.

IVY BRIDGE! IVY BRIDGE! IVY BRIDGE! IVY BRIDGE!

  • will it be working fine on i5 2500k processor?

  • @gamezfreak0 yes

  • Does the Nh-D14 fit on this , because the heatsinks look big as hell

  • Wait, does this really support LGA 2011 socket CPUs? (Ivy Bridge?)

  • @Crux315 yes

  • @Crux315 IVY Bridge is LGA 1155.

  • @xZDaveZx No, that is Sandy Bridge. Ivy-Bridge is 2011.

  • @Crux315 Ivy bridge is going to LGA 1155, LGA 2011 is for Sandy bridge-E.

  • Man I love this guy!

  • WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CROSSFIRE AND CROSSFIRE X???

  • @MrDouglaswu Crossfire = 2 cards, CrossfireX = 3-4 cards.

  • @MrDouglaswu Nothing, AMD simply renamed Crossfire to CrossfireX, they're the same thing.

  • Guys SSD is working with switchers and HDD with a drive the true is HDD has longer life then the SSD so if u are keeping copying in pasting in ssd the life wouldnt go long but if u use an HDD it wil have longer life! Thump up so people see.

  • should i get this or Gigabyte GA-Z68MX-UD2H-B3 for socket 1155 for gaming??

  • @nalby92 I got this with an i5 2500k

  • i cant get my 24 pin atx power connector to snap in! my fingers are raw and about to fall off.

  • need a little help everyone. Im building my first PC and I need to know if this board will support SSD (I assume it just plugs into the SATA 6GBs port... and also, I am looking at the ASUS GTX 570 ... if I wanted to SLI this thing down the road, would I be able to do so? I really need help :(

  • @xTom4Tomx Yes on both questions. It's an awesome board, no doubt.

  • Does this board support quad crossfire have two 6990's I wanna throw on it

  • @wastefuldragon yes it supports quad crossfire

  • Comment removed

  • My next motherboard, but i would have prefer to get an IDE device instead of this useless floppy device....:(

  • is this compatible with a intel i3

  • This guy says the when is SLI both PCI-E slots will run at 8x speed, ASrocks website clearly states: 2 x PCIe 3.0 x16 Slots, 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 Slot, Supports AMD 3-Way CrossFireX™ and NVIDIA® Quad SLI™

  • @Sirdiggar It's based on the processor you have. If you use a sandy bridge processor, your max supported PCIe is PCI 2.0 (16GB/s transfer). With two cards it will be split to x8/x8. He states that in the video as well.

  • Getting this delivered tomorrow :)

  • ive noticed this board is $5 cheaper than the B3 version. why is that?

  • my only problem with this mobo is the bios has my vertical tracking on my mouse (razer deathadder) as inverted... but thats not a problem really cause id rather use my keyboard.

  • can i use a video card that has PCI express 2.0 with this mobo?

  • @xDarkwish oui

  • @xDarkwish Yup

  • @xDarkwish Its a future proof board, its ready for pice 3.0 but you can use PCIe 2.0

  • Nice review. I'm looking at building a new box and was wondering if the P67 chipset is adequate for someone who has no immediate need for SSD support.

  • @TimeLapseSteve You can run it with just a normal HDD and upgrade later to ssd (or not at all) This mobo is more if you are looking to get high performance on games and overall.

  • Comment removed

  • I take it it's not (B3)?

  • ANYBODY own this board?

Question: Those mounting holes to accomodate 775 fans and 1155 seem VERY close, like if you tighten it up, it will break the thin sliver of pcb between them. Anybody break these ?

    Sorry for my English

  • @pronginator I got this and it is no problem.

  • should i get this or asus p8p67 pro 3.1

  • @xxzombiekillerxx97 this one, way better quality.

  • @ndm250 thanx (:

  • Should I get this board? or the MSI GD55?

  • this board is sexy

  • Looks great. I might have an issue with the location of the CPU power slot. My PSU is on the bottom of the case, and the cable might not reach. Other than that, I'm waiting for the Ivy. Great video.

  • ITS LIKE PORN

  • Can't wait for GPU & CPU to play on PCI 3.0 to see the diff on FPS for games...

  • @Martinx88813 It'll be a while...Current graphics card haven't even saturated the PCI 2.0 speeds

  • @Grantham00 Thanks!!!!

  • I'm using this board for my custom pc. It's great. I recommend it to anyone. Great price, great features.

  • I like this board but the I really like the Z68 version better.

  • How would one go about putting 4 graphics cards in 3 slots for Quadfire or quad SLI? Unless it mean it supports two dual GPU cards.

  • @TheAllthatremains94 Yeah he's talking about dual gpu cards like the 590

  • It seems so yesterday to include P/S2 connectors.

  • do you remember when usb 1.0 was out. When usb 2.0 came out motherboards got it from the beginning. And now when usb 3.0 came out it is little by little obviously it is very expensive.

  • fuck the 1st faggot !!!

  • Oh not motherboards again. *buttclench*

  • I don't like ASRock. GIGABYTE FTW!

  • This board is awesome, im a big fan of ASRock! I got all my new 2 boards from them for Folding@Home..cheap and high quality! love you ASRock <3

  • usb 3.0 is just faster then usb 2.0 all same

  • @dejanples It's not just faster, there are other differences too.

  • WHO still usually Floppy? You can get 32bg USB for like 15 bucks.

  • INTEL HAS MORE GIGA HARDDRIVES

  • Would someone (kindly) tell me the diffrence between P67 and P68?

  • @crazy88boss P67 actually exists, P68 doesnt. But if you mean Z68, then the difference is that Z68 can make use of the GPU on the intel core processors, P67 doesnt...

  • @vick291 Yes I noticed the difference later while I was shopping around. Since they let you use the onboard GPU, do Z68 mobos have more features, or does it depend? I'm seeing expensive mobos for both kinds on Newegg.

  • @vick291 Yes I noticed the difference later while I was shopping around. =/ Since they let you use the onboard GPU, do Z68 mobos have more features, or does it depend? I'm seeing expensive mobos for both kinds on Newegg. Also weird is that most 1155 boards have support for one or dual dedicated GPUs whereas a budget 1366 board has 3.

  • nice

  • Floppy?? Nobody uses that crap anymore. COM port?? Holy shit, that technology is older than me.

  • @scr3wg00gl3 floppy is useful for installing AHCI drivers if you dont know how to edit the CD with the windows itself.

  • @scr3wg00gl3 Floppy is just an ad-on. wich is great if your attached to your old floppy disc :S

  • I ordered this earlier tonight, man am I excited about the upgrade!

  • Does PCI-E 3.0 only works on all p67 and z68 boards??

    I have a ASUS P67 Deluxe. I wonder if I will get PCI-E 3.0 if I put a Ivy-Bridge cpu in my board.

  • @L3g3nd4ryN3w6 It doesn't natively work on all boards, but it seems relatively easy as Gigabyte recently revealed that ALL of their 6-series boards will support it with a BIOS Update. MSI has done this as well with their Z68 boards(not P67), but I haven't heard anything from ASUS about this. It's very likely that they may enable it via an update, but it isn't a guarantee and they could go like MSI and only support it with their Z68.

Hopefully for you it ends up working with your motherboard. :)

  • @L3g3nd4ryN3w6 No that's a completely different interface

  • @everybody asking about USB 3.0, it replaces the old 2.0 standard (what you probably have now for all your devices) allowing for significantly faster transfer speeds (like for a flash drive). To the best of my knowledge it is completely backwards compatible with older (2.0/1.1) devices, just will be slower. (1.0 was quickly replaced by 1.1 because of problems) Hopes this resolves your problems.

On a more significant note, Floppy support, in case you and your computer travel time to 1993

  • I have this motherboard except the Z68 version. It's pretty much as awesome as it gets in this price range, especially considering the PCIe 3.0 for forward compatibility.

  • /grasps his beloved floppy disks...

  • when are the ivy bridge cpu's going to be released?

  • @junior5516 I think early next year.

  • MOORE MOTHERBOARDS...WEWT!!!!!! :D

  • It looks like a motherboard. Motherboard reviews are the biggest waste of time.

  • I have seen some motherboards that have some optional power ports for some extra power for example for overclocking or like in this one for some graphic cards, is it not problem if I plug in power to those ports even if I don't overclock or don't need power for graphic cards? I just feel like everything should be plugged in.

  • This board is teh sex.

  • now we're talking, love ASRock.

  • She's a purty board.

  • When are Thunderbolt connectors coming to a MB? and why the PS2 connector?

    Do people still use them?

  • @NeverStopLearningMan Thunderbolt I dont know about that. Though the PS2 port is good if you have a good old mechanical keyboard. There are usb mechanical keyboards but if you have a old one it should be just as good or maybe better but cause of the quality against buying a new usb keyboard.

  • @NeverStopLearningMan PS2 is still better than USB for keyboards, USB has to poll the keyboard resulting in a slight latency and cpu usage as well as only 6 key rollover. PS2 uses hardware interrupts, no polling, unlimited key rollover (NKRO), and no cpu power.

  • @godulous I didn't know that, I learned something new today. Thanks for the info.

  • Ma! He's starting with the motherboards again!

  • Under 201 club!

  • Could someone explain to me, what's so special about USB 3.0? And what it replaces?

  • @Michaelmop its a faster version of the usb 2.0 but requires a special plug to be used, ordinary 2.0 compatible plugs wont work i believe

  • @FragBashers depending on the board USB 2.0 will work with USB 3.0. Have tested that on friends computer. Not sure what the model number of the board was off the top of my head but it was a $90 MSI board.

  • @Michaelmop its faster then usb 2.0. DUH. USB 2 runs at a max of 60 MB/s USB 3.0 can do 400 MB/s ish.

  • @lonothechamp Oh.. right! DUH

  • @Michaelmop It's a lot faster than USB 2.0, but not a lot of devices are USB 3.0. Hopefully companies would start making USB 3.0 devices.

  • @Michaelmop its faster

  • @Michaelmop USB 3.0 is up to10 times than a USB 2.0. It's extremely useful when you are transferring big data from like an external hard drive.

For example: For a 10 gb file, the USB 3.0 connection took 6 minutes, 31 seconds, and the USB 2.0 connection took 22 minutes, 14 seconds.

  • @Michaelmop you need to know that usb3.0 have gigabyte speeds compared to the old usb 2.0 950mbps

  • @Michaelmop Its the replacement for USB 2.0. 2 uses a 9 pin connector, and 3 uses a 20 pin connector. 3 is about twice as fast as 2, and these guys tend to get excited about it because it means that the large amounts of data they have to move can be done quicker

  • @Michaelmop Higher transfer speeds than USB 2.0. Not really a replacement, just an addon.

  • @Michaelmop I will pretend i didn't read that.

  • @jurassic512 lol ikr

  • @Michaelmop its wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy faster than USB 2.0

  • @Michaelmop It's basically a blue USB 2.0. They came up with the idea of BLU3 USB... which later became USB 3.

  • @Michaelmop it replaces USB 2.0 and its 10x faster then usb 2.0

instead of capping out at 30 MB/s it can do way more...good for external hard drives and external; raid enclosures

  • @Michaelmop I GOT 100 ANSWERS THX DON'T NEED ANY MORE LOL.

  • @Michaelmop it's allegedly 10 x faster than usb2.

  • @Michaelmop USB 3.0 has speeds up to 5 gb/s while USB 2.0 is about 480 mb/s. It's a lot more useful for transferring big files.

  • @Zacccc51 but hdd is still bottleneck this technology

  • @LFactoRve Yes, but it still beats the crap out of the popular USB 2.0 and is backwards compatible.

  • @LFactoRve Why not SSD?

  • @Michaelmop Can't tell if trolling, or stupid.

  • @Michaelmop Niggers. That is all.

  • @Michaelmop You trollin? Honestly can't tell. If not, it replaces USB 2.0 and is faster. DURR.

  • @Michaelmop it replaces usb 2.0, and is much much faster than it.

  • @Michaelmop In the early parts of the video...it says it on the back of the box!

  • @Michaelmop its really fast for the new usb 3.0 flash drives and it replaces usb 2.0 and i dont know if your f#cking messing with me so...

  • @Michaelmop It's for faster transfer rates. It would help if you have an external hard drive and compared to USB 2.0, USB 3.0 offers faster transfer rate.

  • @Michaelmop replaces usb 2.0, and is ten times faster

  • @Michaelmop It's data transfer rates are around up to 5 Gbits/s, while USB 2.0 (USB ports commonly found on PCs for the last few years) only transfer at 480Mbits/s. So in other words, they're about ten times faster than USB 2.0. So you can transfer files onto an external flash drive or something ridiculously fast, and make use of its speed for other things that require it.

  • @Michaelmop One word: SPEED!

  • @Michaelmop It replaces USB 2.0, and is quite a bit faster!

  • @Michaelmop well usb 3.0 replaces usb 2.0 high speed. It is a lot faster for movies and stuff but it is even faster when you start moving a lot of small files from one place to another. P.S. and buy default a lot more power to charge your devices.

  • @Michaelmop replaces usb 2.0 makes for faster transfer speed

  • @Michaelmop was going to answer that question, then noticed that 30 persons already did :P

  • @jonaboy3 Yeah it's kinda funny in some way so I cba to delete the comment.

  • @Michaelmop it replaces U!

  • @Michaelmop the difference is it is blue and is 1 greater than USB 2.0 :)

  • @Michaelmop a usb 3.0 port is 10x faster than a 2.0 port thats really it

  • @Michaelmop apparently you've never built a computer before. otherwise you would not have even asked that question.

GOOGLE IT that's what the internet is for

  • @chronofusion I build my own gaming pc last year, so fail more.

  • @Michaelmop sure kid. whatever tickles ya pickle little spanky. again if you TRULY have an OUNCE of pc tech research under your belt from even WINDOW shopping experience you would not have even asked that question. move on. you already failed more kid.

  • @chronofusion Are you fucking kidding me? Die in a fucking hole or so you're pathetic. It's not like you know every single fucking thing of computers, cunt. Calling me a kid is like calling you a fucking cow. Die again. Grow the fuck up.

  • @Michaelmop It is faster than usb 2.0.

  • @Michaelmop It is faster than its predecessor USB 2.0

  • @Michaelmop

    5gb transfer

  • Was gonna buy it until I saw the board and noticed how it looked like shit

  • The southbridge heatsink reminds me of the top of a CM V8.

  • Yay, early view!

    Also, motherboard!

  • fist!!!

  • i feel like i just watched some pron. oh man

  • under 100 club?

  • who the fuck apple juiced in my piss

  • Wait, you commented 54 minutes ago and i just got this in my sub box? what the hell YouTube?

  • Almost first? O.o Great video Paul, fun to watch as usual ;)

  • OMG, I was looking for a forward compatible board to buy so when Ivy Bridge comes out I could install it! Thanks Newegg, you did it again!

  • Last!

  • 2222222

  • 1st!

  • @newegg who cares stupid newegg! lol

  • @newegg I got a bottle opener at your stand! Fun stuff, but I really wanted the T-Shirt!

  • @newegg oh no you DIDN'T giiiirlfriend!
