Wow! Standing up for people instead of corporate money makes you a "douchebag" and a "leftard"? This commentary speaks to nothing but human rights and participatory democracy and the very people benefiting from the historical work to bring equal opportunity to all people instead of the rich are taking the time to call people names. The only thing you people contribute to society is shit that others clean up. Your gall is only outmatched by your ignorance.
Great, another left wing lunatic from San Francisco. God bless capitalism, moron! Your smear campaign of Alberta is just that - a smear. I will keep on visiting and enjoying the lovely province of Alberta.
I betcha he didn't weave that hair shirt he's wearing, or cobble up that tie in his spare time....Nope betcha he drove to the store to buy em, and drove to his hair stylist to get his hair done.
and the odds are that 50% of that effort came from CDN oil/nat gas/ and likely some of it came from the oilsands.
I'm thinkin "hypocrite" might be a suitable label....
or as my immigrant grandad used to say what a bnchh of "javelacrit"
The french branches of the family would refer to this as "merde
70% of the oil is used in manufacturing , creating millions of US jobs. How about spending your millions on creating solutions instead of making movies and putting up billboards bashing Alberta with lies. Over 6000 products are made from oil. Solar power is not going to make up for all the lost jobs. This will be another failed campain just like your WALMART bashing. But you still get paid.
'We want Alberta and Canada to quit interfering in our efforts in the United States to end our addiction to oil.'—Michael Marx, Corporate Ethics International.
Hey Mike: That statement is as ignorant as saying "We want the Liquor Store and Convenience Stores everywhere to stop interfering with our efforts to end our Alcoholism."
Your family name is appropriate, by the way. I had to stop myself from laughing. Maybe you should focus on something besides what's used for shoes and Gasoline.
Corporate ethics is an oxymoron. Blah blah blah and they will continue as is unless enforced legislation and prosecution of corporate criminals takes place. Good luck with that.
On the topic of ethics. The rats are jumping ship.
CHEMRISK - a research company hired by the Corn Refiners Association has recently taken down it's YouTube channel.
The removal was in response to negative public perception resulting from the discovery of dangerous levels of MERCURY in HIGH-FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP. Apparently it has become a liability to defend the sweetener.
