  • I'm one of those lucky ones to get a Triops in this package xD Hoping its the same species as billabong bugs or another species that i haven't gotten yet

  • Comment removed

  • are these clam shrimp

  • How long do they live?

  • they look like big Daphnia

  • thx :)

  • hey um are billabog bugs natural (harvested from a pond) or made in a lab

  • Billabong Bugs are a real, natural, not man made, cosmopolitan "existing world wide" (but different species existing in different countries and continents) crustacean known as "Triops".

However our Triops are Lab grown via a process called "aquaculture". This is good for the environment because non are harvested from the wild.

  • @littleaussieproducts I'm thinking of starting a tank with some clam shrimp, triops, and fairy shrimp. Are they compatible, and will they hatch in an established tank? The reason why I ask about the established tank is that I wish to grow certain types of algae like nostoc and your jelly algae, and I want them to be growing well in the tank before introducing the animals.

  • ALIEnS!!!!!!!! lol

  • Can you get them delivered to NZ?

  • @SimmysPvPFans sure, they ship worldwide

  • what are they?

  • Clam Shrimp. They are like a cross between a sea monkey and a Triops (Billabong Bugs) These Clams are the first of a whole range of Mars themed stuff that we would like to do in the future.

  • its neat that you guys sell a sea slug kit, my wife would nt let me buy one, but very neat.

she said triops were ok though

  • what temperature they need?

  • These little critter's are are happy at room temperature . Any where from about 18 C to 30 C

  • were can i get these????

On the shop site there is a link to our Aqua-Aliens website too.

  • Did you find the shop ok?

  • Yep

  • the tank looks like mars nice touch

  • how big is the tank (just for comparrison)

  • Its a 1 litre tank.

  • where can u get them?

  • how big are they, they look fun!

  • Hi Rluix

They grow about the same size as sea monkeys which is to say about one centermeter across their clam shell.

  • and do those ship worldwide?

  • Yes we ship world wide

  • They are about the same size as sea_monkeys

  • I asked for these on Christmas but I nobody ever got them for me (wah). Well, theres always Hannukah!

  • You should get triops instead ;D My opinion is that triops are alot cooler!

  • Ive had at least 10 triop colonies before and because Ive had so many, there sort of getting boring.

  • Now, nice clam shrimps do you have there. Now, do you know wich kind it is?

Maby Cyzicus Mexicanus? Or Cyzicus Australiensis? You bought it from the little aussie shop? Interresting...

(sorry about about bad english, i'm german.)

  • Cool! hav u tried sea-monkeys befor???

  • aqua aliens or triops

  • these cant be triops no tails

  • Yea cool arnt they!

  • Aqua Aliens is just a branding name for Vernal Clam Shrimps (like Sea Monkey is to brine shrimp). If you search around, there are many sellers offering clam shrimp eggs on ebay.

  • LEARN TO IMAGINATION FAGGOT

  • has anyone ever thought that aliens live deep in the ocean to where people can go there cause of the water pressure levels sooo theyve more than likely lived here for thousands of years.

  • Yes. This is one of my MANY theories on the possibility of what "aliens" could be!

  • ZOMFG i found one of those things in a drain near my house

  • I NEED THOSE!!!!!

  • I want some sooo much!! When will they be available?

  • I've sort of got a beta version ready to go but haven't quite managed to put it in my shop yet.

If you can find the Little Aussie Products Forum, Ill give you pricing there. I've put my link up a couple of times but it never seems to upload. I should read the You Tube policy he he. I expect you're not allowed to post links.

  • is it true that theyr from mars?

  • A little bit of suspension of disbelief is kind of fun dont you think. Why not Ok. Yeah! Their from Mars! :) Ive still got the meteorites which I collected myself on the other side of black stump crater and scraped a few shavings into a jar of water to be stuned by what later came to life with in hours. Now you too can be Amazed at these instant hatching critters from mars! Go to "little aussie products shop" to find out more ;)

  • ...and is this true?

  • wow.i can't belive it. tiny life, frozen for years, until sciencetests put them in water.

  • AWESOME I KNEW IT

  • That there are aliens on mars?

  • This is our latest kit that will be released shortly, but we are selling the beta version now!

It works exactly like Sea Monkeys. The kit has water conditioner, eggs and growth food, plus the Martian soil and the "meteorites" you see in the film.

Still haven't decided on what to call them yet. Need to decide on wether to call them "Aqua-Aliens" or "Magic Martians" ha ha - would love to hear everyone's ideas on the better of the two names.

  • wow i love them

    "Aqua-aliens" has my vote
