This is a great game. If it would have come out 2 or 3 years earlier it would've been a great franchise. Unfortunately, it came out when the N64 was in the twilight of its life. Therefore nobody played it.
Oh man the things that used to pass for good graphics, it would have been better sticking with mostly 2d cartoony graphics like that Ogre Battle game.
If you guys want to play the game again so much, go to thepiratebay or some other site and download Project 64. Then google Aidyn chronicles 64 rom, download it, and extract it to the folder with all your 64 game roms.
i remember the worlds in this game were freaking enormous. it had a clunky battle system though and tough to start out... but the story was great, and i remember there being a lot of characters to choose from, but only a few at a time, and where you leave one, you could reunite with them if you run into them again. and one guy actually turns on you!!!!! i have never seen that before!!!!!

you can fight dryads in the game. you go in the dryad forest (duh) and walk up to one of the first dryads you see, then talk to them and if you pick the right/wrong words to say they fight you. tough battle too, atleast at that point in the game. much harder than anything you would've fought up till then.
btw, i am curious how there seem to be two versions of the game. mine seems older and the character avatars look less cartoonish. hmm, i wonder if i can get a hold of the other version...
Well the nasim I can't explain, and I don't know where you see a dyrad. But I can say that I am proud of you for asking these questions and playing this great game in the year 2008 when most people would be laughing at you.

You can see a dryad in the enemy sidebar, and im happy to say i like this game.I also like summoner and final fantasy.But hey people are still playing tetras and pokemon red and final fantasy 1 where is wasn't even 3d, so i don't care about laughing people lol i give them the gift of my middle finger :)

This was a god awful game. It crashed several times while i was playing it. How can a Nintendo game Crash!? The graphics were grotesque, and was hard as hell until you got the bone prison or whatever spell, then every monster was a one hit kill. Also, no music, and hours upon hours of walking.
I tried getting Farris. It involves Becan and the alchemist at the start of the game, and some other thing. But I don't usually use him. I can get away with the starters or any combos to make up for it.
i miss this game, i beat it like 3 times trying out all the possible character combinations. did anyone else try the glitch to have farris as a permanent member?
IIRC, you needed Godtheric (SP?) and/or Becan in you're party to get him to stay but I've never done it and this is off the top of my head. GameFAQs would be a good place to check.
i dont really remember since i dont have the game anymore. (actually i got a rom for it just recently) anyway i remember it had something to do with the tower of Shamshuck (Godtheric dies)and taking a different teleporter out of the room so you don't encounter a certain cutscene where farris leaves the party. and you can never go back to that spot or else the cutscene will occur and you'll lose him.

Aidyn sucks big time. Way more than Quest 64.
The only good RPGs for 64 were Ogre Battle (a pretty great strategy RPG) and Paper Mario (which was a little lightweight but ubercute)
