it must be easier to start out wakeboarding before wakeskating? It looks a bit like snowskating to me just because of the board, it's got nothing on the bottom, Like premire snowskates. Snowskating is much more available to me. Peace!

i can shuv-it, its pretty simple once you get your first time... what i did when i first learned, i pull my self in on the rope so theres some slack and then just scoop you back leg.. make sure not too flick your front foot (or else the board will flip) ((like a varial flip)) now just catch it!!! if you can shuv-it on a skateboard you will easily do it on a wakeskate

That's cause Hyperlite is a completely different category than Integrity, Arson, CWB, Gator, and others.

I beg to differ, foam grips well and influences the rider to have to land things cleaner, to compensate for the minor lack of traction comparded to grip boards. Especially when I ride, I use a foam topped deck if I'm trying a new trick for the first few times, that way, I will commit more instead of being afraid the grip tape board will nail me in the shins. It has its pros and cons.

man, ive only used a foam grip once and it honestly was soo hard to get up on and actually stay on! It slipped right out from under me 4 times in a row! Idunno if i just lost grip on my shoes or what but i couldnt take it. now i have a loathing for foam :)

if u use normal shoes they soak up the water and make your feet weigh like 3 pounds each, so it makes tricks harder...wakeskate shoes help alot because they dotn soak water up, and keep ur feet light for kick flips and stuff. Higher ollies

first time i wakeskated i just grabbed a pair of old dc s, and they worked almost as well as my reef wakeskate shoes lol. but yeah, wakeskate shoes are definitely the way to go.. wakeskate for life!

it depends...if you wanna get out there and do tricks yea you want them for your own safety, especially if you have the grip tape and not the foam...the shoes protect your feet...and yea normal shoes will soak up the water...so get wakeskate shoes...but if your just gonna chill and ride theres no need...unless you have the grip tape...lol ok im done now.
