thank you so much my husband was trying to be helpful and clean the house some how mistook the trash with my cloth diaper stash and all gone all of it !! I'm using disposable ones and my bby just got a rash ugh!!
love the way u folded this, ef gonna use it...when i used receiving blankets in the past i just folded them the into a rectangle...wont be doing that again.....thanx for the trick
Spectacular video, I am totally subscribing to you. We are planning to use a combination of fitteds and prefolds, and I used my "old" receiving blankets to make cloth wipes, but if I get some others, I think I'll use them as flats! Thanks for the clear demonstration with your LO, you did a great job with showing every step clearly!
Ohhhh great idea. I never thought to use just a receiving blanket as a flat. I took all of mine and sewed them into soakers and prefolds with micro fiber and wash cloth stuffing. ( make great boob pads too)
The only bad thing about this method is some receiving blankets hate snappies. I bought a bunch to use as diapers and my snappies will not stick to them.
@dypsajne true, some don't work well with snappies BUT when working on a budget you could buy some cheap pins and that would work just fine. Also if you have a cover like the one I am using in this video or another that closes by snaps or aplix (not pull over plastic pants) youu can somtimes skip pinning or snapping all together. :)
this is interesting... never heard of it. I have been thinking of trying cloth diapers to help my almost 2 year old start potty training and i have already have tons of recieving blankets... wouldnt hurt to try. Do you know how often you would have to change a child with those? like 2 hours like regular diapers or are they way less absorbant?
@mommyof2britany It's different for every child as some wet more than others. Every 2 hours is a good starting point though. You can buy a 3 pack of gerber plastic diaper covers at babies r us for like $5-$6. If it's not absorbant enough you can add gerber burp cloth to the center.
Great video! Which method of cloth diapering do you use most day to day? I have been thinking of trying the flip with our next baby, what do you think of them?
@xjamlsx Thanks! I really like prefolds and covers or AIO. I like all kinds really. I have many different kinds and brands. The Flips are not my favorites but are an ok (on the go) diaper in my opinion. My husband really likes them though. I have a short review on them on my channel.
You are awesome. Thanks from this CDing newb!
