i don't believe in global warming but i do believe in climate change :), where i'm from for 5 years now the monsoon has become stronger, and the summer had become longer, i hate it because our livelihood is dependent on agriculture(e.g. rice growing) this year the planting season in our area was delayed for 3 months because of no rain. I guess the Ruger SR9 will have to wait another year :)

It is called GLOBAL warming for a reason. We had a very cold winter in Denmark this year, but Greenland had one of their warmest winters ever. If you judge the effects of global warming by looking in your backyard / city and maybe even country you are very narrowminded.

The average temperature for my location in Georgia doesn't rise about 88 degrees from July to August. For the past 10 years it has failed to be that cool for more than 1 consecutive day. We're lucky if we get relief at 92. Also do some research on how much the polar ice caps have disintegrated.

You might not see it in the United States... In Venezuela and Colombia the changes has been terrible in the last 5 years... In the andes there was permafrost... Last year (2008) the ice was totally melt down and there is no snow no more.

kuhchicken, I am not saying a new ice age should appear, but the permafrost (present in some regions of the andes, swiss, iceland , russia, norway and so on) is melting as well. Those areas contains twice as much as CO2 in solid state as the amount already released by human activities.

Some changes might be synchronised events with the entire solar system, but again, the rate of changes isn't something to be joking.
