@MegaGay: There is no such thing as a Christian or Christianity....that was made up by Iganius 110 AD. He was the Bishop over Antioch and he coined that. Prior to him calling the true followers Christians it had never been heard of before. Refer to the book of Acts 11:26 and relax....go have a nice hot cup of tea, that should help you.
@RoyalOakDude: No i am afraid you are the IGNORANT ONE...because Whitemen have been living double lives for years and kept it hidden from their wives so you need to do your homework. Black people coined the phrase "DOWN LOW" but the lifestyle was going on long before they did. When will you people learn that your version of things is not everybody elses version. We Blacks are good at naming things but that does not mean we are the originators of it. You people like to credit us with negativity.
@DaOrigTruthSeeker - Gay people of all races have had to hide their sexual orientation in most places, at most times. All minorities are persecuted in this society and a minority of a minority most of all. Hang in there and stay strong.
This should come as no particualr surprise to anyone....because 95% of Whitemen are gay or bisexual. I really think the only reason a White man ever touched a woman is to keep their race alive....but in my estimation most Whitemen prefer man on man sex. Blacks have picked this practice of homosexuality up as result of it being forced on them starting way back in slavery days. Black men are not naturally homosexuals...eventhough many of them have been fooled into thinking they are. It is learned.
It is enough to see some plainly clear examples of homosexual affection (what do people require to believe?). I feel uplifted by our predecessors. I have a great-gay Uncle that is all decked out in the 1920s. He seems to have made the most of his time. peace
The name of the theme song for a A Brief History of Gay Love is "Brighter Than the Sun", sung by Al Bowley with the Ray Noble Orchestra for whom Al sang lead vocals while playing rhythm acoustic guitar. Al died in the Blitz.
not all of those pictures can be considered gay, some of them were just close friends, or even relatives, lets not forget that at the time some people didn't associated physical proximity among men with homosexuality. two men hugging and giving hands was not homosexual back then.
@lopesmais Hmm Im guessing your not gay. I deal in vintage gay photos, frankly most gays dont care if they are really gay. They are symbols to inspire gay kids & ourselves to live out & proud lives. Also you are wrong in assuming "two men hugging & giving hands was not homosexual back then". you have no way of knowing their motivation either.
@Blksmoke,Oh,please,"homosexuality really is witchcraft"! Well,it's a new one on me! Next, you'll be saying we're all gonna burn in hell. No,don't bother, heard THAT one numerous times!
A pleasant montage, but as others have said, not necessarily a gay history, brief or otherwise, but still nice to look at!
Homosexuality really is witchcraft and if you don't believe that just get a copy of THE BOOK OF ENOCH and see what the watchers did when they had first come down to earth.
Hmmm... I think it's great that you are researching this. However, I'm not so sure that open signs of affection between people of the same sex at this time in history neccesarily implies homosexuality. This was more acceptable and not always sexual, just like hugging a friend is today. However, some of the pictures are pretty clearly homosexual.
@herrrob14 I'm glad you said it because I was thinking the exact same thing. Some of the pictures are of men who are clearly in a relationship. But most just look like buddys hanging out.
@herrrob14 - Obviously not all pictures of two men hugging or even kissing "proves" that they're Gay, but there are plenty of pictures from the 1800's of naked Gay men having sex - but they couldn't be posted on YouTube. Straights assume that everyone is straight, Gay people have to fight to find their history.

@DaOrigTruthSeeker - Most people who claim to be "Christian" are the least likely to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

These photos are beautiful and so innocent...it seems the world has taken a turn for the worse to reject such loving and tender people.

@READY4REVELATION
Gees are you IGNORANT. Who created the whole "down low" lifestyle?
It's just that white people are more comfortable coming out and living their life with dignity and honesty.

No. They are from a long time ago. The writer of the book they came from would not speculate. I think it is fair to guess some or most did.

@TheCowboyMonksCorral - The first photographs were made in the 1800's, some of the earliest photographs were obviously made by Gay men.
