@samusetroid lol get a better graphics card that one is to terrible to even load the game but first pm me your graphics card specs type in device manager in the all programs open it choose display adapters and open up the graphics card send me the specs ill tell you what you need to do

i cant believe im struggling to run halo 1 on my netbook at a constant 20+ fps while you have crysis on yours. whats your secret? a modded driver? you overclocked your netbook? youre playing with the service onlive? do you have a super fast os? PLEASE TELL ME! :D

He has a HP 311 which has an Nvidia Ion GPU. If you have a standard netbook with Intel GMA graphics then you won't run more modern games. A netbook with later Radeon HD or Ion is much better for gaming, i run an MSI WInd U230 (033 single core) and it runs Halo, COD4, Left4Dead, FEAR, GTA SA, Battlefield 2 and Fallout 3 fine. Even the current GMA totally sucks for gaming and is outperformed by Mobility Radeon from years ago.

Btw suitable cool games for GMA are GTA up to VC, Need For Speed up to Hot Pursuit 2, TOCA 2, Alien Vs Predator 1&2, Morrowind (with some tweaking), Undying, System Shock 2, Quake up to 3, Half Life (not Source), Counter strike 1.6 etc.

@expertnoobFTW Oh btw, just been testing Halo on an overclocked Wind U100 (N270, GMA950, 1gb ram) and it runs totally lag free on a 24% overclock, running at around 2ghz. Morrowind, NFS Underground and SWAT 4 also run lag free with the overclock so it does make a marked difference.

Crysis on Low looks a LOT like Far Cry on medium/high. Honestly. :)

@dholling10 no, the lowest gfx settings are VERY reasonable, and still look better than some games today on medium/high.

No netbook can do this... He's probably using onliVe to stream it or he overclocked his processor and graphics card and got a really nice cooling fan

looks like its on low settings. it lags a bit. Much like running the game on a 7300gt graphics card. It will run but all on lowest quality possible

when i got crysis for my Pentium 4 when it first came out, it like fucked it up, so i had to get a dual core. I can't believe that this would run on a celeron or atom, i though a P4 was better

i have a gigantic laptop that i don't like (cause it has a crappy intel 4500mhd) and it runs crysis at 1.9 fps average on low and 1024x768 resolution while this little netbook runs it like 16x better lol

This is almost certainly a remote desktop/VLC/streammygame/etc app connecting to another computer running Crysis. The Netbook IS NOT running crysis.

Get a GMA 950 modded driver (assuming it uses that and not a 500) and this will run smooth. Thats what I did with my old eee

Yeah, and it's $400 with a crappy Atom single core, not $1000 with a dual core. I have one, and the processor is definately the bottleneck, but it's still amazing for the money.

I have a desktop for games. Does anybody really buy a netbook specifically for games?

I am interested in how well I can surf my sites before I spend the cash on something that stutters.

I would love to see someone jump on Amazon then over to Hulu, then hit up google and do a few searches, then hit a few blogs, a few youtube videos, and you see where I am going with this.
