  • is diz no cuts? a continue keyframing?? untill end time? also the camera?

  • It is really creating that feeling, like a desert - big, the railroad goes far. Very good music and all.

  • WOW! REALLY IMPRESSIVE! Learning to do exactly that. GoIn to use our country background. Just watchin your vid makes me wish I was already were you are. Great work! IMPRESSIVE!

  • awesome! work you use 1 direction light from one side.... ? that's the reason other side look dark in daytime. but your work is great keep it up....

  • Amazing animation...may I ask what software you used to make this?

  • best animation ever. How do you do it?

  • This is awesome, also I would like to suggest those who are critical of certain aspects to please provide links to their work. ....didn't think so, now hush.

  • Fantastic!~

  • me: hello mom just heading out. mom: for what dear. me: to go kill 5 people that hate a video on youtube that i like. mom: whats it called? me: kelso train animation one of the best train animations ive ever seen. mom: but whos gunna help you? me: 112 people who like the video. mom: have fun be back before 9,o'clock.!! >=]

  • wow... amazing.... animation was good! but the modeling rocks!!! the train looks very very good except for the interiors.... :P

    you deserve some good credits!

  • Excellent!, Like and fav.

  • The intro to this video is way too long

  • Very nice animation. Nice camera work and lighting. Love the heat wobble effect as you cross engine.

    No Driver?

The little bridge it crosses at the end is the same bridge from 1:25 copy/pasted.

Seems to be an obvious line on the horizon where the moutains start.

Environment could use more variation as it moves on. To give the impression the train is getting somewhere.

The train dosnt feel that fast because the camera is always keeping up with it. Maybe have some stationary camera.

  • Love The locomotive love the music love the railroad

    5*****+fav

  • 5/5 pure win

  • Extremely good animation :)

    My compliments!!!

  • Them US locos can really pull heave loads

  • good job man! Very nice and smooth camera movement! 5/5

  • how long did it take to create it.

  • Angles needed to be lower in parts to demonstrate the power of the train ... all in all ncie modeling, 'OK@ render but good camera work. The intro was too much anticipation for the final result though. Could have done with sound effects aswell ... infact it really needs sound effects, as they make any animation better.

  • The realism and level of details is breathtaking! It's just weird to see a steam whistle on a diesel engine but the rest is just awesome! I recommend people to have a look at the hi-res video...

  • whats this maya animation thing? sounds cool.

    anyhow; amazing vid. 5/5

  • how did u make it

  • now that is the best train animation that i have ever seen loved it wish i could make 1 like it

i am lost of words to describe how brilliant it is

  • nice details

  • excellent!! but you need a diesel horn not a steam one.love it though.

  • @ajb221you know the music was the horn XD

  • @motochic467 the horn sound was the music'

  • are you suggesting that there's a steam whistle on a diesel with that little plume coming out behind the cab? Cool video, otherwise.

  • wow so nice camera animation, i love it

  • wow, you should do stuff for xbox 360 or ps3 or something! you're really good with graphics!

  • That was sweet. 5 stars.

  • what are those fans on top of the roof for? Real 44c9s don't have fans aft of the cab. There are no fans on these locomotives.

  • not the worst Ive seen.

  • Nice camera work though

  • Love the fans and especially the ending...

  • can i just ask, why would a train have its lights on in the day? hmmm. anyway its still great i hope to be that good (and better lol) someday

  • trains have their lights on at all times of they days so that people and motorists can see them coming

  • WOW!, that was so sick!! modeling my first car on maya, which jus makes me apreciate that so so much, bet that took weeks to render lol. How long did all the modeling/animation well evrything take?

  • hey dude great animation, im still learning maya, but yours is amazing, check my if u can "seat caravela my 1st maya animation"

  • Maya is unbelievable...I have 5.0 but I can't get it to do this kind of stuff...I'm still very green...

    Great job.

  • I first found this on Google video. I loved it all. You think you could teach me how to do that stuff?

  • Very nice work. I gotta say I ant seen much better on maya

  • awesome... i had no idea maya was that powerfull. i do only have the PLE though. (personal learning edition; free with UT 2k4)

  • Wow that was nice. Enough to motivate me to get into computer animation.

  • Simply Amazing!...if they make the graphics in train simulators this good, that would be something!

  • A wonderful animation. I would love if you could render an animation of Norwegian trains.. The old locomotives are really beautiful.

  • This is simply amazing, you have some serious skills.

  • Great job. What do you think of Blender3D?

  • i just started to learn maya. got to say jesus christ. u got mad skills and how long did it take u to do all that man?

  • Great work! You should do one of a UP train rolling through the SF east bay between Oakland and Benicia.

I would buy a DVD of that!

  • Very cool, the titles at the beginning look brillaint although they do drag on abit, nice work.

  • i liked the hundreds of little trees/bushes
