Saw Martin a month back playing at Bush Hall in London with Michael Chapman and Steve Tilston. Superb gig going out on BBC4 in the new year. What I liked was the way the three of them played together on each others material no prima donna egos. Michaels Another Story arranged for 3 guitars was sublime. Saw Martin in the 1990s on his own an amazing player . I have always been impressed with his slide - he did a great version of When I Was On Horseback with a fine melancholic vocal
@MrMarchiggins was that gig one of the songwriters circle jobs???? ... I will definitely be keeping my eye out for it..what a bloody threesome......something to record for my mate in spain......Thanks for the info my friend
Fabulous.....(and another yorkshire lad) ....I have yet to hear something from Martin that I don't like....There is a magical version of " sometimes I cannot keep from crying" live on youtube ... I certainly wish I had his touch....Kev
