That snow doesn't look so bad, and it doesn't look that cold. In fact, if you can build a snowman, then it is not very cold at all. I look forward to my first trip to Reno this February. I really hope it doesn't snow, but if it does... I'm used to it. There are only 3 months that I have NEVER seen snow in Minnesota: June, July, and August.

I live in California. Reno has always fascinated me. It is really beautiful in places but downtown is just SO scummy. Fun and interesting but scummy. Probably no more than any other city but as it is small and concentrated it seems to stand out more. I am not sure I could live there...although the new Whole Foods makes it much better! Anyway, it is really a classic American city. Unlike any other place I have ever been in the world.

I lived in Reno in '98-99. It's a great place to live. The winters there are nothing, but it really affects those Californians.. Even when you get snow, it doesn't last very long. Yes, the summers are hot, big deal. . As far as the riff-raff, I currently live in Las Vegas(although not for long because I'll be moving in about two weeks, thank god). You think Reno is bad, come to Vegas. No comparison. I've got fond memories of Reno, so the place will always hold a special place in my heart.

Nowdays since the mid-2000s weve seen at least three 6-12 inch dumps per year and even more in the foothills, and in 2004-2005 they had like 5 feet of snow in reno in the city, and in feb 2010 there was a storm that brought 2 feet in 12 hours in the city

Go live in a bigger city and realize how clean Reno is compared to them. People, even though I should say "Kids," grow up in Reno and hate it. That's their way of being cool, I guess. Reno is a great place. Especially, during Hot August Nights and the Rib Cook Off! I came from a small town that offers nothing in comparison to Reno. Haters will hate and the rest of us will laugh at them! Quality of life in Reno, was rated better than most places with similar population and climate.

I wish I still lived in Reno. We moved back to care for my my mother in law who fell ill in MA. and now, 10 years later she's doing great and I can only look at videos of the best place we ever lived. It's a great town and I look forward to a return, maybe even back to Fawn Lane where we lived.

was on a trip. make my long story short.

I went to reno on about Jan 7. snowboarding in a blizzard, try to come back at night, went up a closed freeway, ran like about 10 miles in a snow covered freeway with no light, no other car, only my car. can't even see ur hand when u hold it straight. kept driving in a blizzard. had to stop in the middle of the freeway. saved by a tow truck who checks who got stuck. no one will have chance to experience that. and u will only see it in hollywood movies.
