The problem is, when you play the Spurs, that IF you once build up a decent lead, the Spurs are so experienced, they will prop up their defense, they will get you make mistakes and then bit by bit recover and then take the lead.

This is where actually no team can respond properly to the Spurs. No one does recover better than the Spurs. I am a Knicks-Fan, besides.... ;)

actually the reason the suns lost game 5 (the one STAT and diaw and robert horry where suspended for) was simply because they choked. they had a big lead home crowd they just couldn't not finish the spurs and the suns let the spurs get back into the game.

The Suns acquiring Shaq was about as effective as Dallas acquiring Kidd. Picking up a player in their mid-30s (or several - remember LA a few years back?) in order to win a championship NEVER WORKS. No chemistry, no legs.

Not to mention the fact that the Suns aren't about to get past the Spurs in their prime, so they might as well give up on that one.  Spurs remain a far superior team, especially when it counts (i.e., post-season).
