  • Omg I love this song! Whats its name ???? Please anyone Tell me!

  • @TechTVnewsandreviews

"The Storm Begins" by Jennifer Haines

  • Wow. Still not as bad as the one i was in.

  • I dident konw the lights went red,yellow,green..... how do you slow down when your not moving?

  • @TheGhostwhisperFAN

They don't do red, yellow, green in real life. It was just a mistake I made. Although due to the limitations of sketchup back then, it wasn't something I could easily undo =/.

  • @elitedw It was still cool.

  • 2012 no ppl

  • how long did that take!

  • Awesome...only just discovered sketchup and am working on my house

  • I hope you've found Blender by now. It's so much better.

  • moral of the story: repair the trafic lights you num nums

  • Whats with the random camera spins?

  • bad animation

    I'm workin on a vid

  • @RaijinOfTheBlade

    1: no

    2: who cares

  • @xXhodeb

No wait. That's not me. That's my brother using my account. (MKlord214)

  • hahhah very nice and a very clear example!

  • how to make in hd ??!

  • you clever bugger

  • hw you come out this video with HQ? i create those animation and all are low quality.. i have no idea how to make it in HQ...

  • but did you make it across the road?

  • Man thats vid looks like you ve got some much work huh?

  • Its Alright,(very good eye for details on houses)but still the physics for the hit car fail

  • how do u upload these files to youtube?

  • what the fuck? whack

  • fail

  • wait you made the world

  • lol google earth on start :D

  • Recreate it again with SketchyPhysics!

  • the green car got totally pwned

  • how did you add the sky effect in the video.?

  • @orlando1729

Basically a sky picture in a spherical model.

  • umm just download sketchyphysics and do all all that animation stuff without the works plus its cooler

  • So cool, i didn't know that you could do that.

  • That actually happened to me 3 months ago.

  • sorry i didn't see your car but this is really close to what it looked like accept you didn't show when MY BREAKS WENT OUT!

  • im sorry about your car crash i have lived one in my life and its awful

  • nice video man thumbs up and sub

  • i have that but they made it to where you can recreate things now?

  • how did you make that!

  • @minnysasx The models were made in Googles Sketchup. The video was shot frame by frame. So its basically a form of stop motion.

  • @elitedw cool i have got google sketchup so you just stop then move then stop and move yeh is that right??

  • @minnysasx basically you make a copy and paste of each model and make a scene for each shot. Gradually moving. Sketchup is mostly a CAD program. It doesn't Natively have a motion path =/. I believe Sketchup 7.1 may have added motion paths and animation. Although I used Sketchup 6 for this video

  • @elitedw Cool :) Imma try it

  • hope sha died!

  • @r3ist3 o.o;; idk if i'm alive at the moment

  • i love the music.

  • do we need to know?

    (god i sound soo uncaring!)

  • @AlanLittlle its fine really hehe. This video isn't for everyone, just myself, my family and my friends. Majority of the questions I've gotten was geared towards sketchup. I'm happy to answer any questions people had. This was more of a project of a real life event.

You have a choice to view whichever video you want. Thank you for viewing this one.

  • how do you download this i try but i dont get it

  • This music sounds somewhat similar to the music from Daylight (1996)

  • omg soo nice

  • Man...How are you now?? I hope ur better..great animation....

  • is there a way to make those cars move in sketch up or did you move them manually?

  • Since sketchup doesn't have an animation feature, I had to use stop motion to get everything to move. They had plug-ins although most of them, usually only allow a limit number of movable objects.

  • Geez... What does the word 'innocent' mean today?

  • Nice models!

  • omg i read your discription the only way that his light could be green and yours at the same time if someone tapered with the setting of the traffic light he doesnt want to get in more trouble then he is

  • thats very farfetched

  • caraca, puts mutio bom,.. queria algumas dicas, me passa o msn vlw

  • In my opinion, this song does not fit into the movie! Overall it is good 4/5

  • very nice!

  • plz a tutorial

  • that guy is a prick or was he a hit man

  • just a prick I guess. Going to fast without looking. I saw him coming though but I couldn't stop because he was extremely close to impact and since he was in a dodge SUV he was going way faster than I was.

  • so the other people in cars just forgot about you and left u there?

  • You was in the crash?

  • yep the first part is just what i saw while in the car.

  • its not as good as blender 3d, lightwave, or photoshop

  • this was mostly before I learned maya. although blender is pretty good for game dev, as a middleware to export files. Photoshop is good for textures. Sketchup is a great CAD.

  • how did you make it? lol, seems complex.

  • google sketchup... simple but time consuming.

  • ...omfg nice editing and im sorry to hear about the crash

  • Brain chip - CHECK MY SITE

  • That's so incredible!!!!! My friend and i watched this, and after it we couldn't just say anything! It was so amazing, that it made us quiet! I don't know, but i think you're an expert in Google Sketchup. But I'm very sorry, that you had to involve in that. Car crashes are always so painful and terrible. Tears were close to us...

  • Google Sketchup is incredible, great job on this :)

I can compile and edit scenes, but I wasn't aware you could do stop motion animation. How is this done?

  • I'm also sorry this is the re-creation of an accident. I hope things work out for the best for you.

  • its not even funny how fucking retarded this animation is

  • its an animation of what really happened dumbass

  • Its ok. creative judgment of animation is cool with me. Allows me to take this into count for anything new i might make. Thank you so much though.

  • ow that must of hurt when you were in that car crash

  • nice animation :-) sorry about your car! could you possibly tell me the name of the song. !

  • ty for your comment

The song is: "The Storm Begins" by Jennifer Haines

  • no witnessed from the same streetlane that could confess you had green light?

Its bad noone contacted the authorities after the accident as a witness of the accident in a trial.

maybe announcing a PSA would help? i sweden, people would have stopped. Mettroopolitan lifestylers i guess...

  • It was near a highway so pedestrian viewing is limited. I was on a 3 lane service road for the highway heading north. The guy was on a single lane two way neighborhood street road that lead to a bridge that crossed over the main highway.

I was the one who called the police. and went to the ER on an Ambulance. All the other drivers that were on my lane who waited on the red light, just moved on. It was a service road for high way so you couldn't stop in the middle.

  • I lost my leg 12/04/08 in a motorcycle accident and want to animate it to show my side. I don't know where to start.

  • Oh I'm so sorry to hear that bro. You must be having a hard time, after the incident. I hope that you are recovering but the loss of the leg is tragic.

Well if you want to create a model of the location. Google Sketchup has videos suited for beginners looking to create models of their own. The tools are very simple to learn. The videos are an amazing tool.

I really hope you get better.

  • how long did it take to recover from the crash?

  • Few months, but usually after a crash not only your body is effected but also your mental status... a type of trauma. or shock. But creating this video has allowed me to release that stress. Instead of keeping the experience inside.

  • its a good video, but it looks like it was laggin a bit or was that meant to be like that?

  • its like stop motions... so instead of like 30 FPS its like 5 FPS.. so there is lag in the animation. Thx!

  • Really good design and animation! The music goes PERFECT with it!

  • ty i'm happy you liked it.

  • Wow, amazing work. Ar you in the SketchUcation forums?

  • never heard of it, but I'll check it out. thanks!

  • yah i suffer the same fate

    except bleeding just some bones

had to go to the chirpractor

the guy who got away im gonna kill that fuker

  • yup i feel the same way bro. I guess its all just recovery right now. But memories will always be there.

  • well that probly took for ever to do it was realy good

  • It did take some time, but since I'm starting maya. Design could get better in time. thx for your comment ^.^;

  • Most who view the animations in this should come to understand that sketchup, doesn't come internally with an animator. This is just using layers and scenes to move models. The only animations within sketchup are the camera movements.

  • good but not the best

  • I wish I had more time to work on this. Since each house model took roughly 3-4 hrs to work on. I pretty much had like 5-6 final revisions but I tried my best within the limited time frame to do so. But thank you for your comment.

  • Also I didn't do what most people do with sketchup. is to take the model/scene and import it into 3dsmax or maya and animate it there. The only way to currently animate in to either use sketchy physics which requires you to model from scratch, and use the parts required to spin. Plus the other plug-ins cause only one or few moving objects at the same time. This video is more like low frame stop motion. Although usually with smoother transitions you need more time and frames

  • O no I'm the 666th viewer... NO!!!

But pretty awesome. This is the freeware of Google Earth?

  • well thanks for viewing this lol 666 huh.

Yeah this was made with Google Sketchup. The intro to the video was using google earth and fraps to record.

  • Cool. So the actual video took place in Google Sketchup?

  • The video was just the aftermath. I wish I could have had a dash cam. That would have been awesome. Thanks for you comment.

  • You're welcome, but what I'm asking is, is the actual video taking place in Google Sketchup or Google Earth? I've always wondered how to animate like this in GS so, THAT's what I was asking.

And yeah, wish you had a camera

  • Thanks for the reply. The begin animation with the globe(google earth was captured by fraps. In google earth I placed the model/scene. Then transitioned the video into the animations extracted from google sketchup. So all the animation with the cars was done in sketchup. So to animate, you put each frame in layers. To imagine if you want a car to move from point A to point B. And you want it done in 12 frames. Well you need 12 cars. With each car in each frame from start to finish.

  • So you need like 1 car on each frame. And each layer on a scene. What the scenes do is only portray the layer that are currently on. So scene 1 has layer 1 on and layer 1 has the 1st car at the starting point. Scene 2 has layer 2 with the 2nd car, and layer 1 is turned off. And so forth. Keep progressing the model from point A to point B. The more layers and scenes you have, the smoother the transition.

Sry if anything has gotten confusing. I wish I could give you a video link to explain it.

  • ok thx

  • Hey it's me probha! Good 1

  • Hey elite dw it's me probha! wow! goog1

  • I need to comment on this but the lights in the beginning ended up a bit wrong with it going from red to yellow to green. mostly a layer issue.

  • It was a good vid. I got a little confused there when the view changed but I figured out (finally) that it was your head moving. Ok this may seem a little anal but the traffic light went red, yellow, green instead of red to green. May want to fix it for realisms sake

  • Yeah little sis, thanks for watching it. And def thanks for letting me know about the lights. I could edit that part out in premiere instead of retaking it. This is already like the 3rd finished part, with minor errors.

  • how do you make animations on it??

  • It took a bunch of layers on sketchup. so like 10+ cars spread over 10 layers. With 10 scenes where one layer is turned on and off progressively. I think this entire thing has over 100 layers.

  • thx

  • Watch in High Quality it was encoded for that.
