@ririshow It is very safe, there are certain procedures on how/who can do the "hot refueling". I am just starting my commercial training in helicopters and from my (limited) understanding of turbines is that they are have " start cycles" and it is certain amount of cycles they can do before the engine needs maintenance, leaving the engine on reduced the start up cycles and total time from shut down and start up. Its a common practice for helicopter operators like in the gulf of mexico/ rescue.
the sound of huey is really awesome . I never forget that sound when i was a child in vietnam . Sawing Huey flying around my head everyday by US soldier :D
Nice paint job. What's the 'dots' down the right side? Simulating zipper heads AK stiching down the side? Also, is the guy in the beginning J.A.F.O.? Or an actual part of the sling load work? I worked -Bs & -Hs w/the D.O.F. down in Fla. early to mid '90s just after Andrew. Alot of Bambi Bucket work and A.I.D.s w/the -H. All ya have to do is THINK where you want to go.....and it just slides right there. Have fun and be safe.
@danielpilot95 - This tricked me one day in flight school... Primary 1988: I do a 180 auto in a Huey, pull pitch early (because I had a brain fart in the descending turn), the rotor speed droops and I decide to go ahead, instead of power on (100 ft off the ground and not on runway heading)and try to "milk" this... The whole time my 60 year old, 20 thousand hour IP sat motionless. at the end he asked, "What did you learn?"... I replied, "That you will let us die!"
I just purchased this helicopter and WOW it is such a great bird.. Its so smooth and powerful. I thought I would like it and it is so much better than I originally thought. This is the first chopper I have ever flown that is capable to be full of people, gear and fuel at altitude and have plenty of power! Just got done with a logging job so stand by for some new vids to be posted soon.
I got to fly one in B.C. Canada as rightstick. Lots the lift and inertia in the rotors blades. Very stable in the pedals and landing. I likey... but how can you not!
im going to need same goze pads ball bearings....what you need those for its all ball bearings now....clamp down that fitzer valve put some gauge pads on it
Roughly how much do you think all of your training cost? Sorry if that's a hard question to answer but I've seen lots of different figures on the internet and was wondering how much yours cost.
I spent $54,000 for everything. That was living expenses for a year, new Mac laptop, some car parts, all my training, and some of a school loan. Prices have increases though due to fuel since I was trained.
All my rent, food, gas, car parts, and etc for an entire year plus all my training. At the same time I was training to fly I was also getting my business degree so I used some of my money to pay off a loan from that.
thanks again for response, could you estimate how much the actual flight training took and how did you pay because to me that seems like a huge amount, rich family or a loan or something?
the sound is perfekt

@Ares12305 Your vision needs to be correctable to 20/20 (by glasses/contacts/laser eye surgery)

If you lost power, can you auto gyro, or is that thing going to drop like a rock?
cobrachoppergirl 1 year ago
@cobrachoppergirl it autorotates and this helicopter can go pretty far without engine power because of it's
heavy rotors allowing it to glide for a long time before landing
