  • the sound is perfekt

  • im sad my dad doesnt work on these beautiful bird anymore

  • Me being a M model jock I well understand!!! ;-)

  • Huey 204 ? Nice..

  • greatest chopper of ALL time!

  • this bird is a legend

  • Great Video! Thanks! :)

  • Do you need 20/20 vision to fly? I wear glasses and I want to be a helicopter pilot

  • @Ares12305 Your vision needs to be correctable to 20/20 (by glasses/contacts/laser eye surgery)

  • @Ares12305 u can always get laser surgery

  • Dude, I need a career change. I was made to fly this bird! How do I go about doing that in the most economical way?

  • Seems to be refueling with engines on. Is this safe?

  • @ririshow It is very safe, there are certain procedures on how/who can do the "hot refueling". I am just starting my commercial training in helicopters and from my (limited) understanding of turbines is that they are have " start cycles" and it is certain amount of cycles they can do before the engine needs maintenance, leaving the engine on reduced the start up cycles and total time from shut down and start up. Its a common practice for helicopter operators like in the gulf of mexico/ rescue.

  • the sound of huey is really awesome . I never forget that sound when i was a child in vietnam . Sawing Huey flying around my head everyday by US soldier :D

  • my grandpa was in nam

  • This needs some Creedence as a soundtrack...

  • @viperfide all I know is it's in the millions

  • The quintessential choppersound right there.

  • how much dose this kind of helicopter cost

  • Nice paint job. What's the 'dots' down the right side? Simulating zipper heads AK stiching down the side? Also, is the guy in the beginning J.A.F.O.? Or an actual part of the sling load work? I worked -Bs & -Hs w/the D.O.F. down in Fla. early to mid '90s just after Andrew. Alot of Bambi Bucket work and A.I.D.s w/the -H. All ya have to do is THINK where you want to go.....and it just slides right there. Have fun and be safe.

  • now stop the blades with your hands :D

  • Do you need a license to fly a helicopter if you are going into the military?

  • this is the coolest video ive ever seen thank you so much may you make more vids

  • Would love to fly one of those babies!

  • good job lee

  • Hot fueling... I caught a ton of crap for doing that

  • @twogunz3083, i would bet its dangerous? i have no idea about heli's so :(

  • uh hueys are way better then cars

  • @sfd683 That is exactly what I was thinking...! The exact sounds and smell of a Huey are embedded in my senses.....

  • If you lost power, can you auto gyro, or is that thing going to drop like a rock?

  • @cobrachoppergirl it autorotates and this helicopter can go pretty far without engine power because of it's

heavy rotors allowing it to glide for a long time before landing

  • @danielpilot95 - This tricked me one day in flight school... Primary 1988: I do a 180 auto in a Huey, pull pitch early (because I had a brain fart in the descending turn), the rotor speed droops and I decide to go ahead, instead of power on (100 ft off the ground and not on runway heading)and try to "milk" this... The whole time my 60 year old, 20 thousand hour IP sat motionless. at the end he asked, "What did you learn?"... I replied, "That you will let us die!"

  • Hey nice Huey, she's a beauty.

  • I just purchased this helicopter and WOW it is such a great bird.. Its so smooth and powerful. I thought I would like it and it is so much better than I originally thought. This is the first chopper I have ever flown that is capable to be full of people, gear and fuel at altitude and have plenty of power! Just got done with a logging job so stand by for some new vids to be posted soon.

  • black ops.

  • @adipuppi No.

  • instead of that black color id but her in her nam colors

  • wonderful sound!

  • i love these. i wish i had my own. i would show off and fly around places

  • Very sleek looking bird your friend has! Little bit more turbine hours for ya too! Great video!

  • You keep doing it I love it, Terry

  • I got to fly one in B.C. Canada as rightstick. Lots the lift and inertia in the rotors blades. Very stable in the pedals and landing. I likey... but how can you not!

  • UH-1 Huey: Underestimated Helicopter Model 1, military shortname "Huey" :D

  • im going to need same goze pads ball bearings....what you need those for its all ball bearings now....clamp down that fitzer valve put some gauge pads on it

  • beautifuel Helicopter

  • iMovie on my Apple laptop. Soon will be using Final Cut Pro

  • oh that sounds so good starting up

  • yes the huey is a helicopter the r44 to me is a toy the huey is a helicopter.

  • @TheBellhelicopterman

Someone thumbed you down for that. I thumbed you up. You're absolutely correct. R-44 is a toy. Huey is a heluva helicopter.

  • well i guess you do not need the rc one you got the teal deal man

  • ive ridden in both a huey and a R44 the huey is better by far

  • What camera are you using? My camera always gets very distorted audio when that close to the rotors.

  • This was my Canon ZR300 video camera.

  • @michaelmiller85

nice, what video editor do you use?, i love the sound of that machine, hell yeah, good video!

  • It is my dream to fly one of those Mike! Awesome! M.T.

  • I must say it was awesome

  • Roughly how much do you think all of your training cost? Sorry if that's a hard question to answer but I've seen lots of different figures on the internet and was wondering how much yours cost.

    Thanks

  • I spent $54,000 for everything. That was living expenses for a year, new Mac laptop, some car parts, all my training, and some of a school loan. Prices have increases though due to fuel since I was trained.

  • Living expenses? Was it some sort of school, and why did you need car parts?

Sorry but I really don't know anything about this and if I can't get into the military then I'll have to pay for it myself.

Thanks again for the quick response

  • All my rent, food, gas, car parts, and etc for an entire year plus all my training. At the same time I was training to fly I was also getting my business degree so I used some of my money to pay off a loan from that.

  • I hope the army'll have me because I doubt I'll be able to afford it otherwise

  • thanks again for response, could you estimate how much the actual flight training took and how did you pay because to me that seems like a huge amount, rich family or a loan or something?

  • you are the man michael!!!! i am craving the wild blue yonder yet again

  • Must have been a hell of an experience!
