  • Hi Jackie,

    I recently viewed your video!

I have a question regarding using Phillips. Do you still use it on your face?

The reason I'm asking is because I have super oily skin, especially my t zone areas.

Just wondering if you still use it and are you getting the same results.

    Thanks a bunch

  • i got it today. and its fine

  • does the milk of magnesia smell bad?

  • Giving this a try tomorrow. Thanks!

  • Thx imma try it

  • I'll totally buy the products you mentioned! i really hope it helps x

  • Great video<3 it

  • So glad you still hv this video up!!! Tried all 3 products together, including a few I hv myself and the results were AMAZING!! I was very careful using the PMM, so I didn't get the ashy/ chalky look....matte look lasted 4hrs w/o retouching.....usually I get abt 30-45min!! So it was great!! I will apply more tomorrow, hoping I can get by till lunch time!!! OH, lesson learned, DO NOT TOUCH UP w/ sponge or fuzzy cotton applicator tht cms in MAC pressed blot powder!!! Use a brush!!! Or blot tissue

  • I love that you're spreading the news about the milk of magnesium. Not many people with oily skin know about it and I swear, that stuff has changed my life! I have extremely oily skin and my makeup hasn't lasted so long & stayed matte until I tried that! It's amazing!

  • @sandylovesmakeup that stuff is strong

  • Do you use the blot powder throughout the day also to control oil?

  • thanxx alot....i live in trinidad (caribbean) and MAC products a really expensive here....soo i guess i hav to try the phillips m of m 4 now....:).

  • Your so pretty! I will definitely try this <3

  • ummm you need do make a video on how you di the makeup on your eyes!!! its fire lol :)

  • your really pretty, and seem very down to earth.

  • I am so going to give this a try.

    Thanks girl!

  • Thank you soooo much!! Tried this routine today and it's great....my face usual looks like oil slick by now and it's super fresh!!! Thanks again!!!

  • Is milk of magnesium safe to have on the skin all day??

  • ur eyes r amazing!

  • This is all good. And of course you look amazing...I just want to know, how long does this process take you??? Like how many minutes are you using for a to-go-to-work face, date face, and party (out-on-the-town) face??? Just curious since I seem to be an all or nothing gal, it takes me half an hour to do my make up so I often just forget it. but don't want to sometimes have make up on and others not, otherwise the days you do spend time it is obvious to your co-workers or classmates. please help

  • hi kaky anna from paris ,thanks for all

  • love your eyemakeup here

  • can i use tinted moisturizer then set it with powder foundation?

  • i really wanna get that mac oil control lotion

  • interesting. I avoided translucent powder because I was scared it would make me look ashy . . .

  • I FINALLY tried this exact method and it works wonderfully!! My oil is controlled :) Thanks Jackie!!

  • MAC Prep+Prime Face Protect SPF 50 is also awesome at controlling oil. It is definitely a staple of mine!

  • you are such a beautiful and down to earth person!

  • @christalmonique1 aw. thank you :)

  • @christalmonique1 your are right,that she is!

  • Patti labelle used this trick. I read it in Ebony awhile back. I heard pure tea tree oil works too..

  • I'm new to make up... I have oily skin... What are some of the basic products that I need to get a flawless look?

  • I am so trying this tomorrow....

  • Awesome tips

  • u r soo pretty :B

  • Instead of the mineral finish powder can u use fix+ spray????

  • @ladytears760 Fix + spray doesn't set your makeup

  • @lilpumpkinpie05 I have seen a lot of people on YT use fix + to set their makeup

  • @lilpumpkinpie05 Which product do you recommend to set makeup ?

I'm looking for something that will last all day and sets my face nice.

  • @lilpumpkinpie05 ...if fix plus doesn't set make up, what does it do?...besides making eyeshadow brighter...

  • @lilpumpkinpie05 what does fix plus do then?

  • i watched the video then , went out and got a bottle of MOM, tried it for week ..... u rock, gal, this is so spot on, thanks from a sister that 35 and just discovering the secret.

  • Thank you........................I've added the magnesia to my daily routine and i am seeing less shine and oily appearance. I'll continue to use once it's working for me.

  • Should I use the Milk of Magnesia. as a toner......like wash, milk of Magnesia.,then moisturize with oil control lotion?

  • @dawnetteful no, not a toner, somewhat of a primer for your makeup

  • If trhe mac oil control lotiton is still unavailable in certain locations..murad oil control works well for me. even though it only guarantees up to 8 hours i'm a nurse who often work 12+.

  • i love your lipglosses/lipstick can u do a tutorial on your fav. ones

  • will it clear up acne by chance?

  • I still use moisturizer on my whole face and MOM just on my T-zone and it works fine for me. I love it. The oil control lotion is always available in the Macys' here in Atlanta...Thank God(lolol)!!!

  • I still use moisturizer on my whole face and MOM just on my T-zone and it works fine for me. I love it.

  • Oily skin has been the bane of my existance!! Well--not really, but a pain.

  • I love watching your videos; you provide us viewers with such great advice. I watched your video "makeup etiquette" and thought it addressed some very great topics. I have a question, I have people tell me all the time, wow I really love your makeup but I am not sure what that means exactly. Do they think my makeup is pretty or me?

  • @katiek009 thank you so much, in that case I think they are really just complimenting you!

  • You are so pretty!!

  • @katiek009 thank you :)

  • i tried your suggestions and omgosh, (not that i doubted you) but omgosh it truly works. the climate i'm in put it to the test ~ the middle east next to saudia arabia where it stays 120 degrees everyday with humidity, and my makeup stayed put. i did the oil control lotion~primer~MoM~foundation and WOW the difference it made. you're the best! God's best to you and your future endeavors. btw, i ordered my color wheel yesterday (i'm listening)

  • @tremeka2013 wow that's so awesome to hear, that's one hell of a test huh? lol yay for long lasting makeup! :)

  • all man i got the cherry kind i didnt remember what kind u said..it works tho

  • Thank you, Thank You! THANK YOU for this tutorial...OMG. I have just recently starting freelancing (just graduated from make up school) and I have a client with oily skin. I was trying to figure out how I can help her with that! This video was sooo helpful! Thank you again!

  • But ladies... you really have to put a little bit!!! otherwise you will finish with a clown face!! You should definitly do a Tutorial on how to apply it!!!

  • @manoulicious lol just take a cotton ball and dab it on

  • OMG !!!! .. i didnt had the chance to buy the MAC oil Free Moisturiser... so i only put the milk... • Thank you for this video and all the others. I've learned so much from u. I have really oilly skin and it seeps through my makeup and by the end of the day it's like I have nothing on. I tried the posion ivy look and that thing last all day and through my workout session lol.

  • I have that mac oil free moisturiser and its helped my sooo much, especially now that it is summer.

  • I love yo videos all the way from South Africa,i think ur a woman of substance

  • @Banyana1 that's so sweet, thank you :)

  • Thank you so much.

  • @nanidiamond well first you can't back to mac that, because it's just a paper packaging. I would assume it's still safe to use though

  • thanks so much for the info. i got super oily skin and i will take any help or advice that i can get.

  • what about the original formula will not work just as well as the mint or i just need the mint

  • I really like the oil control lotion it does help me control some of the oil however not all. Also, I am really going to try that Milk of Magnesia because all of my eyeshadow by the end of the day runs right in to my eyelid crease. Yuck. Anyway thanks for the advice.

  • hey my nigerian sister what makeup are u useing?

  • *Magnesia

  • Your videos are amazing! Im definitely going to try this method. I was wondering, can you apply the Milk of Magnesium all over your face? Not only my t-zone and forehead get oily but my entire face within like a hr or two of me going out with a full face of makeup...

  • OMGGGGGGGGG thank you for this video, because I always look like a vaseline face after like 3 hours of work... I just learned to live it.. but not for long. I am going to try this.. I am so glad I came across this video.

  • @Chany14 you are welcome girl, anything I can do to help!

  • First let me say your videos are amazing! I've been wearing MAC pressed powder as my foundation for years what do you suggest liquid or powder for women with oily skin? Thanks!

  • @dfabuluz aw, thank you!

Either or will do. It just depends on how much coverage you want. I personally like medium coverage so I use Studio Fix Fluid, it has a MATTE finish which I love, unlike Studio Sculpt, it's beautiful on dry-normal types but on me I feel so oily and yucky lol just make sure you set the liquid with a powder, like your pressed powder, or mineralized skinfinish

  • I had same problem with the mac oil control lotion aswell but I'm. Going to try it the way u suggested.I have a question about the milk ofmagnesia i noticd at the pharmacy they sell fruit flavoured and mint only is it going to work the same? Thanks love your channel !

  • @Joelchulo1809 that strawberry stuff did not work for me, stick to the mint kind

  • Jackie, what are your thoughts about MAC's blot powder? Good? Bad? Just okay?

  • @nichellemicole It works great :) but you just have to be careful with applying it too much

  • okay, so the milk of magnesia is a gift!!! thank you mucho lilpumpkinpie!! what i like about it most is that iis that there is no scent :)))

  • @MsMommysGal that's so awesome to hear, I agree, those with sensitive skin will like that aspect too. I love the mint one cause it cools your face, makes me feel like I'm wearing a mask :)

  • have you ever tried to wear two primers at the same time. i have really oily skin and the milk of magnesia didnt really work for me so today i wore the mac moisture control, mac prep and prime, and smashbox photo finish light and so far its six hours later and it still looks good i wanted to know if its bad to do that or not and can you wear two moisturizer at the same time i like mac oil control but i also want to wear my aveeno moisturizer because it has spf 30

  • No I have not, I am more than happy with what I'm using now :)

  • Thank you so much for this video! I have oily skin too. So this is very helpful.

  • you are very welcome!

  • Few things....

  • this regimen worked for me. sooooo happy. thanks for sharing your wisdom.

  • that's awesome to hear, I am glad it worked!

  • Milk of Magnesia has been great for me & Thank You, again for sharing that tip lol. Sometimes I even use it, when I dont wear makeup. I'll eventually get the Mac oil control & I also noticed they have it in stock on their site now.

8:24 I think its true too. I have combo skin & oily parts never break out. But in the dry parts I do.

    So it's breakout-proof too lol!

  • I am SO glad they finally got oil control back in, panic mode over!

  • I just subscribed to your channel this was a good video, it was clear and concise. You come across as a sincere and honest person, who knows what she is talking about. Thank you for this informative video, enjoy your day :)

  • THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!

  • OMG!! I know you, well not know you but I talked to in the MAC store and you helped me pick out a few MAC eyeshadows. Small world.

  • Awesome, glad to hear you're doing okay after all this tsunami madness going on today

  • As someone with extremely oily skin and large pores - I currently use all of the products you've mentioned (except the MOM), and I cosign everything you've said. They all really do work well together! I can't wait to try the MOM. I think that will really solve my issues, thanks for the tip! I also believe that my face has begun to produce less oil since I've been using the oil control lotion while my face is still damp .

  • I agree, I've noticed my forhead is actually starting to get a little dry now, lol it's weird

  • i've been hearing about this MOM tip for a while now...and i just couldn't believe it...okay, you got me...i'll try it...lol

    Be Blessed

  • great :)

  • Ive brought the mac oil control last year and I absolutely hate it :( I still have a very full bottle of it because I havent been able to bring myself to throw it away. I dont like to waste my money. So Ill give it another shot and try your method, otherwise I think I gonna give it away.

  • I too had an old bottle just sitting in my collection not being used. but this method has worked for me, I'm so mad I haven't been using this a long time ago

  • Great Information...I will have to try the mom what i was doing was taking a pore cleanser & mask by Neutrogena and after washing my face leaving a very light dry film underneath my makeup which works also.

  • ha ha. no wonder I am still only. I was putting on my regular aveeno moisturizer with spf and then the oil control. It was like the oil control never even happened (duh). I am super oily and by the end of the day I have wiped off all my makeup with the patting and blotting I do all day. Thanks for the tips. I will give this a try. So annoying the oil slick. It's bad. Thanks you. As usual, you are the best.

  • I'm glad you found it helpful. yea putting on TWO moisturizers is definitely a no-go!

  • sometimes I just do the craziest things:-). today I tried the MOM and the oil control and there was a difference. I picked up the trans powder from the on my lunch break. The saleswoman gave me a sample of Mac's Skin Vasage. It's a primer. I'll try that on the weekend. Thanks again. This info was so timely. Toodles!

  • oh and do u used the translucent powder in place of the MSF which you would normally use to set your foundation with or both..? thanks

  • I still use both

  • I also use the MAC oil control lotion since about a year now, and I ran out about two months ago, which I found out that I really didnt need it in the winter bc my face gets kinda dry...but its that time- I just went to the MAC store yesterday and they had it in stock there ...So girl I might have to pick you up some since you said they are out of stock! lol- Now I have seen a review on MOM awhile ago but was scared to use it just for that reason (of over drying) but I will check it out now!

  • I meant out of stock as in, once a store runs out, they won't be able to order anymore for a while, lucky your store still has some!
