Nice video. Everyone starts with tests, but this character has a curious personality. Hard to depict in 1 minute. Try to use wooden blocks for the feet. That way you can use a bolt and wing nut to anchor the feet. Also use a reference. Film yourself as the character acting out the motions and try to animate to your own timing. What kind of wire were you using?
