One of my sweetest memories! I was right up front pressed against the rail! I still have the towel that Steve used to wipe the mud off his equipment and then gave to me =)

we appoligized to the band when they signed our booklets later, and they said dont worry about it, it was only 600$ they were going to pay us anyway. but they said they were told they were allowed on that statge for 5 years. they figured they would be back on main stage i guess.... had to wait till 09 to return.

i personally know the person on the left side who threw the first 3 mud balls prior to this clip, i told them not too and even walked over to the right side of the stage as to not get thrown out of the event with him.... but at that point several others threw mud and than as this clip shows he said "i dont like mud thrown at me" or somethign adn WHAM!!! BEST PURPLE DOOR EVER!!!!

I was front row!! Covered in an inch of mud by the time it was over. Stood there for about half an hour yelling "THAT WAS AWESOME!!" Saw Andrew getting yelled at by security and he just stood there with his arms up, like "I didn't know!"

It seems so obvious that he wanted it to happen.  He pretty much asked for it.

Um, no. He did not. He made a joke. That doesn't mean he asked for anything. Those people were idiots for throwing mud at the stage.  It's common sense: you don't do that. I'll bet a lot of equipment was ruined.
