1) Can a Hard Drive I had in my old model PS3 be used in a Slim, as I have a 500GB HDD and am having problems with the PS3 and would like to use that HDD in a new PS3.

it allows for a clearer picture output on your tv. If you have a tv that supports 1080p or 1080i, then you can set it up to output video thru that filter. High Definition. Basically. Someone else on here can offer a much more detailed version of what I just said, but that's basically all HDMI is. Better video output quality. Looks amazing.

I recommend getting the old version! Especially if you like to bust out the old ps2 games every now and then, be sure to get the ps3 backwards compatibility, and a good warranty. PS- I also recommend a ps3 fan.

ok first is lighter the other one was way heavier

2._ its completely black not like that fake chrome that only made it look cheap

the same ps2 slim wire...The power supply is in the ps3. So it doesnt matter what wire you use it matters what power supply. I can use my laptop wire, disconect it from the brick "power supply" and use it to power my tv.

I got a 360. It's not that bad. I don't have to buy component cables for my tv that doesn't have hdmi. And the games are alright. Sometimes a bit cheaper and easier to find.
