Hi, thanx a lot for this walk-thru video :) The only problem is that I've tried it so many times now, and when I get to stage 06:21 on your video... restoring on iTunes, I ALWAYS get an error 1602 after about 5 mins into restoring :'-(( Please advise me on how to get around this, I'd really appreciate it. @Shameemw. It's me again! I Googled the problem and seems it may be because power cable was connected. But I had to connect or the light wouldn't blink on device in ordert o get it into DFU mode. I could only do this with power cable. So now, I disconnected power and went over restore again! Apple TV has now gone through restore many times. Problem is new problem is error 1604. Help!

hey can u help me out, i bought an apple tv2 and its 4.3 i jailbroke it using season pass, but i cant get xbmx on it! i tried to ssh using the wiki and other videos but everytime i try to install something from a repo it fails.

maybe all the ssh links are dead? because they are all from early this year

@jzo101 1602 means you have more then one iDevice hooked up to your PC take out the other device whatever it is iPod or iPAD or iPhone just connect your AppleTV 2 and try again

i'm sorry to bug you guys but i think my aptv2 is still not jailbroken thats why i cant do the ssh with PuTTy. after watching the video again, i discoved that after i install seasonpass, when i go to itunes and "press the shift key and click restore" i still CAN'T FIND THE aptv2 SOFTWARE FILE i have to look for in the document folder or any where, before i click the restore. Was playing with it to see what was going on and as soon as I took the Cat5 out and rebooted things came back while on wireless. So tested the cat5 connection using my HTPC thats right next to the ATV2 and it was fine. Going to play with it some more and see if I can cause it to repeat. Will let you know. Well, LOVE the videos! I followed them on Monday when I bought my unit. Worked like a charm. Added Seas0nPass after then XMBC and again, worked great. Have watched Netflix one night and a movie on XBMC. Then today, blam... nothing seems to be working correctly. Its like a took itself off my network and the stock movie and tv sections are gone. Any ideas? Have checked my network, rebooted software AND device... still...nada

@cpyou now remember that XBMC is streaming from your other PC or network drive, check to make sure you have access on your network first before you go in to Apple TV 2,

if you have problem with your Netflix then check through Netflix on your computer login to there website and check with them ;)

@xctechs WOW that was a fast response! Netflix is working fine on my laptop here and my ipad. The ATV seems to be hosed somehow. Its not the netflix is not working, but its not even showing as an option anymore on the nav bar. Neither are the movies or television options.

@cpyou ok then take the power out of Apple TV 2 for atleast 30 seconds and hook it back up check again, it should be there unless u have installed another package called Overflow and u have placed it there, if not it should show up, and remember that Netflix settings i have been checking to see if i could find a way to get same problem u have and i can't do so, try that step see if worked if not just reinstall everything again if you want

@moomiewting then i want you to start the jailbreak again, when it reached for the part to place on DFU mode don't worry about light flashing, just hold the menu + Play Button for 7 Seconds and then let go, it will make a noise on your PC letting you know its been in DFU mode and then you'll see the jailbreaking software been injected then you need to go next as video says and process your jailbreak

@Nemobi thanx for the comment, and regarding software, this video should explain between 4.2.1 and 4.3.1 but here i will tell you difference, the TV screen where you check software version on Apple TV 2 is 4.2.1 but on iTunes it should say 4.3.1 thatis update to date so go ahead with this video jailbreak :)

I have been trying all day to connect XBMC in my sn0wbreeze jailbroken atv2 to my W7 machine with no success, aparently SMB shares won't work when snowbreeze is used, only when .
