nice tomato's. No snow here. im in the pacific northwest. And yes im positive that plastic should make a big difference. it did when i covered only a 3rd of the windows in my house. i will be starting things very soon.
Nice progress! Looking good! Another way to lower heat loss through windows is bubble wrap. Cut the bubble wrapt to the window pane size (tape together pieces if need be), spritz the window with a msit of water and apply the bubble wrap (bubble side to the window, flat side facing inside) and that will give you an additional 1 r-value.
@theontariogardener sorry about that the only problem is Ihaven't started any tomato seeds. that was my joke I cant grow what i don't plant. i guess Ill get some seeds the first store i see selling them so i can get started
Looks great! Beautiful snow! Its started here as well we have a bit more than you over all but not much(keeps melting). I started a small container of leeks yesterday ;) I could help myself though I'll probably wait a week or two to really get started.
@knyquol haha... I knew you couldn't wait until January! I will be planting, or planning on planting the onion seed that you sent and the leeks in about 2 weeks. I think the onion seed that you sent will be more than enough for a flat, but I want to try and order my seeds for next year this week, so I can order some onion seed as backup.
