Does anyone know what kind of drum machine Numan was using on this album? It features very prominently on this and even on 'I Asassin'. It sounds like the one Japan used on 'Swing' and Roxy used on the 'Flesh and Blood' album.
Littlenige, so sorry to dissapoint you. The bass player is Mick Karn. The best fretless bass player in the world. He was in the band called Japan. I have this record.
I don't care for the sort-of dancing in the scene where he's watching the feline women, but I like the concept. I think men in makeup should go watch unusual performances. :)
I like Gary Numan but this doesn't work even within his special licence to do what he does. Marking this poor. You should too, or he'll never learn. Yep, cruel to be kind.
cow? isnt that an insult directed to a FEMALE? and considering im a bloke, i suggest you get it correct before you TRY to insult me again cockwash! I was CONCEIVED unlike you, the result of ur mother sitting on a cum stain! so go wash ur daddys lipstick of ur tiny cock and try again sonny! LOL
@lovehoney3 No the Touring Principle black shirt, black pants(trousers) and blue and red tie was his best look as it revealed the contours of his body and his tight butt!
Laughing Hyenas, rent your charm, you'll just suck in the boys, we have to leave soon, shut off the door, this house is far too cold! CLASSIC LYRICS. So Numanesque
Although the album Dance is one of his best efforts this track seems to be a homage to DavidSylvian-perhaps not surprising as MickKarn co-wrote this track-but this is totally contrived
I never knew Japan's Mick Karn played the bass in this!

@machman05 Thanks. Am I right in thinking its the same used on 'Swing' and Roxys 'Same Old scene' ?

Best song off Dance no doubt, tho I liked Crash and Slowcar to China as well - well worth checking out - first time I heard fretless bass.

If only he did not stop touring at this point, albums like Dances and I Assasian would of been big here in the states.

@LordFag the States , His touring was minisculed to playing clubs in Miami which only housed 100 people or less.

Mick Karns bass and style is very distintive throughout. Adds that .bit of class to some of Gary's songs.

@bazonics Wrong, Dick Morrisey didn't work on Numans music until 1983 and the Warriors album.
