Ok theres most people are wrong Black Widows are not poisonous to Adults so you can get bite by one and be fine The only time they are poisonous to people is when the person is already sick or just is way to out of shape and when they are baby's or old and senile.

I have been bitten twice by black widows, strange Iwas bitten exact same place on right and left calves. It made me sick for a couple of days the first time, had to go to hospital. No mistaken a black widow bite. Second time,a year later or so , I did not go to Dr. About a year after that, at jewelry store I saw a ring that had 2 black widows laser cut into the ring. Yeah I bought it, I dont know of anybody bitten by a BW besides me. Dont camp by old piles of pinewood.....both times.

I live in a state that the only medically significant spider is the black widow, and we have a ton of them, it rarely causes death or amputation. In fact humanity seems to coexist with them quite effortlessly. They rarely attack a human and if they do they were probably provoked. They are actually far from aggressive.  I personally take them outside and set them free. Only fair, they were here before I was.
