@JesseGeorgePenner . I was in a hardcore band a decade ago, so i used lots of palm muting (the one that produces deep sound in metal rythms). that kinda forced me to strum fast, and i like funk music also. i think those two would help improving your right hand strumming. metal palm muting and funk strumming
I really want to know who your influences are, who you listen to and what kind of chords you're using. Such a great style man, so inspiring. I write a lot myself and I LOVE this kind of sound. WHat is it?
hi, man. hmmm, i listen to alot of progressive rock and jazz. lots of Tool, Pearl Jam, and other stuff, and oh yea, japanese instrumental bands like toe, lite, mouse on the keys inspires me alot also.
@dino one final question. as far as your right hand rythem technique goes, is it just something that improved over time, or did you focus on certain things to make it as relaxed as it is, I noticed on some of your stuff it almost seemed like as you strummed you left your fingers anchored to the guitar a bit. Any suggestions? I feel like my right hand technique isn't as relaxed as it should be.
