I just hate the fact that their price point is the upper class. $7,600 for a computer and a touch screen TV? Come on. Why not try and put one of these in every house in america? I would definitely buy one if they sold for a competitive price
welcome to microsoft's view of reality!!! too bad you will need all proprietary hardware devices to interface with it (windows phone, microsoft integrated credit card, microsoft integrated cameras, ZUNE). Oh yeah, btw when was the last time anyone used/ even SAW one of these? they don't even have one at the microsoft store. yes, there is a microsoft store int he bellevue square mall. it's an apple ripoff.
@gerberj000 Once Google, Android, and Microsoft hit the market hard with universal software having applications like this it'll collapse all their competition over night.
Ideally yes, but there are mac fan boys and google fan boys (btw android is google), and not many microsoft fan boys. We use windows because it's the norm, just like driving fuel inefficient cars and just about all aspects of american life. It's not necessarily good, we're just "used to it" and people in general are sticks in the mud. So, no, there will be no over night change in anything. But when someone does come out with "universal software" everyone else will be mere days or weeks behind.
@gerberj000 Yeah I know Android and Google are in kahoots.. (I have a Droid X) I think the release of universal hardware/software will slowly merge all the titans into one. Yes, people are happy driving their little reciprocating engine vehicles with a thermal efficiency of 8-16% or so. I don't expect an overnight change at all, but I do expect a rapid shift in general perception some day.
@gerberj000 Sorry to burst your bubble, but Microsoft has been working on this before Apple planned the iPad 3. Which was before they were planning the iPad 1....
@favoriter55 i use 1 and then two other numbers that follow it. like 1, then 11. Again 1, then 22, Again 1, then 33.... I didn't find any other creative username lol.
Better hope you don't have porn on your zune if you accidentally put it on the Microsoft surface thinking it was just a TV table.

It's cool and all but, I've yet to see one for sale at Walmart. Just because we have the tech doesn't mean it's available
