I have this phone and loaded SPB mobile shell 3.5 and even now it turns heads. It is the best phone I've ever had and I have always had the top of the range phones. IT STILL ROCKS!!!!

The iphone is cool but it is boring.. the HTC Tuch diamond is much bether and fun to have it. Ppls say it sucks but it don't ppls just don't know how to use it lol.. that why they say it sucks. Iphone is boring with 100% HTC Tuch Diamond rocks with 120% much bether and nice to look at. When i look at the diamond i smile all the time. so fantastisk phone 10/10!

i already got'm for almost two months now, and it's really a great phone! The interface is fantastic, great screen, it's sharper than you will expect... indeed, only the musicplayer is not as great as the iphone... But it is a fantastic phone!

price is rediculous .. the phone offers no real functionality compared to the iphone.. no third party hardcore apps .. too small good luck texting on it..lol.. it sucks in functionality but it looks cool

Well, where I can buy it, the HTC Touch Diamond is 6x cheaper than the iPhone. The total cost of the iPhone is approx. 1150$, while the Diamond is only 180$. That's a huge difference.

It has plenty of functionality. It can do almost everything the iPhone can!

Text works flawlessly, thanks to the optional keyboard layout. However, I would agree that a larger screen would have been better!

Plenty of cool applications. Take TomTom 7 navigation as an example. The iPhone doesn't have TomTom (yet).

I have had one for a few days. It has horrendous BATTERY LIFE: I am running on the 1.37 ROM and have turned off 3G and I am still getting a meagre 7hrs on STANDBY!!! Unacceptable for a "mobile" device. I am very disappointed and will return mine soon.

this phone rocks as for iphone users bite me I am a mac guy all the way i have 6 of them but as for the iphone it blows I do video surveillance for a living and can not use any soft ware cause it's not supported I have a sprint mogul and that alone sells my systems i can't wait for the Touch Pro

It might be the best phone at present, but the fact that uses Windows Mobile is what prevents me to buy.

I really think that htc, which has been in the vanguard of mobile design and manufacture should bet to open source operating system.

I think that versatility is the top priority of a indispensable tool as already is the PDA phone, and a windows mobile phone would never be as versatile as an open source based.

It's fantastic but not fantastic enought :(

The 3D animations are "laggy" moving to slow and low framerate. The camera should have flash and there should have been a SD slot.

Would have been cool if it automaticly downloaded emails via the first open WiFi it could find and do it descreet/ without telling you that it logget on/left a broadband the hall time.

Just wondering about the soundquality since I'm a HiFi user.. Is it supporting FLAC and how good is the soundquality?

Touch Pro will have all the things you mention. Flash for the cam, More ram, micro SD slot, better resolution, better battery, and a full key pad. The design is almost exatcly the same as Diamond. The only downside it's 7mm thicker (cause of the slide-out key pad).

This PDA is quite nice, but the battery's capacity is a great way too low. 900mAh doesn't give a lot of autonomy.

Kinda funny how everyone said the iPhone wouldn't take off because people needed to have a physical keyboard. Now that HTC is copying this form factor with the Touch and Diamond, all the winblows mobile fanboys are drooling. The sales figures can't lie. Apple is eating Microsoft, Palm, Nokia, etc alive.  Next meal is RIM.

HTC has been making touchscreen smartphones for years before iPhone. The HTC Wallaby (O2 XDA) was a huge hit in 2002, and didn't do that much more than the current models. The current models add wifi and GPS, some more flash memory (which was always extensible anyway), 3G, and a slightly spiffier user interface rather than bog-standard windows mobile. All very nifty, but basically an evolution of the concept.

HTC had an all-touch PDA phone out in 2002, 5 years before the iPhone. Granted, apple has an all-touch PDA out in 1993 (apple newton), but they didn't do anything with it. In its current form, the iPhone is much more a copy of windows mobile (sucky though it may be) than the other way around; windows mobile phone users have been enjoying wireless handheld computing for six years.

Besides that, Apple doesnt make any of its own products anyways. At least HTC is a manufacturer unlike Apple who steals ideas from everyone else then gets fabricators to make them for them.

Yeah i agree and im a current iPhone user! Apple will have to do a lot of things with the rumoured "3G iPhone" to try and compete with this device. Like the feature of HSDPA that the iPhone lacks. Up coming current iPhone killer? Maybe just have to see what Apple does with the "3G iPhone" if the rumours are true.

If HTC knows what is good for them they will listen to the people and make that input and response lapse ALOT quicker. People don't want to swipe the screen and have it react almost a full second later, that is just unacceptable, especially considering their competition.

It should be there now but-- by the time this thing hit North America, the response should be almost immediately, that is, HTC, IF you know what is good for you.
