It doesnt have an 02 rear on it. The spoiler is a 98-02 SS style. Everything else is stock 97, including the tail lights. 97 was the first year for those tail lights and the newer dash like the LS1 cars have.
Its my Ex's car that I swapped a bolt on LT1/M6 into (it was originally a 3.8/a4 car). Once I made sure everything ran right, I put my AI H/C set up on it. Shit went south with us last year, so it was returned to bolt ons (she paid for the engine swap, so it was was hers). She still has the car. Now I plan on building my own LT1 Z or SS.
Same A.I H/C on a stock bottom end and t56 like this car, just with full suspension and a stout rear. This car was my ex's, and i plan on building another right where i left off on this one.
This car has been demodded back to bolt on's. I'll be building another where this one left off, with the goal of running a low 11 with the same H/C set up and a 6 speed. (best time with this car was an 11.7@122 with a soft launch)
never dynoed with just the cam swap, but it went fron 292/321 (full exhaust, CAI, and EWP) to 412/367 with the addition of the prrted stock heads and cam from advanced induction (along with a set of 1.6 comp pro magnum rockers, 58mm TB, and 39lb 03 Cobra injectors)
What kind of intake is that? It looks clean, almost stock looking if to most people. I'm looking for an intake like that for my LT1 camaro so far K&N looks the cleanest while still providing decent gains.
Its sitting on big and littles now (Pro Stars), and the front is pretty much slammed. I need to atleast take out the ISO's in the rear for a little drop.
396/349 on the mail order tune. I had it dyno tuned and it put down 412/367.
That was through the exhaust (no cutout) and with a stock clutch (definately slipped on the street, may have slipped on the dyno). Ran a 12.3 @ 116. I recently swapped to a mcleod clutch, added a cutout, and replaced the 3.42's with 4.10's. So far Ive ran consistant high 11's with it (11.7 @ 122 bieng the best) . Now it needs a stout rear so I can launch it!
damn dude you haven't broke 4oo RWHP and you have already hit the 11's damn yeah you definitely need a a rearend(moser 12 bolt)and may I add some drag radials(some MT DR'S )and some welds and youll be in the high maybe even mid 11's :)
It made 412 tuned, but I'm pretty sure its making a little more then that with the cutout. The 11.7s were on draglites and MT DR's, but I was launching it soft (1.9 60 ft) not wanting to chance breaking the 10 bolt. Once I get an 8.8 or S60 under there, along with some suspension (it all stock still) I'll be launching it off the limiter shooting for 11.3's N/A.
draglight's huh are they the welds and if so I hear you haft to grind a little on the rear brake calipers to make them fit if this is true how much grinding do you haft to do and are you running skinnies up front or no?
I've fit both draglies and Pro Stars on the rear without grinding, the fronts I used a small 1/4 spacer. Maybe after I replace the rear pads, I'll have to grind a little (it will move the caliper towards the wheel some). Yeah skinnies up front.
@slayerdearly i have a 95 z28 6 speed. the brakes are acceptable (i literally still have factory pads and rotors 36,000miles) for daily driving and normal road use. But IMHO the brakes are the weakest part of the car as an overall performer.
gorgeous car

Why do you have an 02 rear end on it? Was it in a collision?
DsnRabble 7 months ago
@DsnRabble
It doesnt have an 02 rear on it. The spoiler is a 98-02 SS style. Everything else is stock 97, including the tail lights. 97 was the first year for those tail lights and the newer dash like the LS1 cars have.
mpe331lx 7 months ago
@mpe331lx Ah didn't know that. I like the 96 rear end more, the orange in the tail lights is kinda ugly.
DsnRabble 7 months ago
@DsnRabble
I like the looks 93-96 tail lights better myself, but dont think that I'll swap to an older style light.
mpe331lx 7 months ago
@mpe331lx Is it just the tail light itself, or do you have to swap the whole bumper?
DsnRabble 7 months ago
@DsnRabble
Just the tail light and I think the wiring for the tail light. The bumpers and tail light panel (the part that says camaro) are the same from 93-02

Did you port the intake also?

@papers232313
As answered in the other vid:
"Only the inlet is ported. I had a junk bbk 58mm tb on it, but plan to switch to an AS&M monoblade for my ew set up."
