I've seen them live two times as well as mando diao... the first time was at flex (vienna) two years ago, the second time was at the frequenzy festival in salzburg last summer. You actually can't compare these two bands because they don' have anything in common... except the fact that the singers in both bands are superhot and super arrogant... my sugarplum fairy favourites are soul of the sun, back were we belong and visible karma
You also forget that the two singers of SPF are Gustaf's (Mando Diao) brothers. Plus I think its awesome how both bands have two lead singers... Awesome
pretty damn accurate statement. great bands and incomparable. also very arrogant. i'll risk getting thumbed down and venture to wonder if it has something to do with swedish culture?
(continued...) - all the swedish musicians i know (THe Sounds, mando diao, the hives, sugarplum fairy) seem to take themselves way to seriously. i've heard fashion week in stockholm is horribly snobby. then again, swedish musicians seem to not only take themsevles seriously but work really fucking hard and make good music and even better live performances.
