Those ATCs are a sealed cabinet design so being close to the wall shouldn't be a problem. As usual people are commenting on equipment they have neither owned nor heard!
@portalavenue Granted my experience with hifi is limited - i'm only commenting on my own experiences with placing loudspeakers that close to the backwall (i used to have a pair of B&W 801 Matrix S3, they use up some space for sure!) ;)
To be honest i'm envious of this guy - i want ATC! ;)
there are some speakers that like and play better close to the back wall,one ex, is Cello Legend,they play much better against the back all,but most of the speakers like to have some space all around.

I used to have ATC SCM35 speakers mated to a pure class A Pass Aleph 2 clone. Nirvana sound. Had to sell, still chasing that sound with Morel 403.II and the same amp. It's OK, but ATC is THE BEST most natural open sound I have ever heard.

@SBTYROLL They shouldn't all. Most "audiophile's" systems sound like crap because they put their speakers too close to the back wall.
