@DieselGTX I take it you don't know what Desert Storm is. We weren't fighting terrorism. We were actually fighting the state of Iraq in the early 90's. They lost 35,000 soldiers, we lost 325. They had the world's 4th largest military at the time, and they surrendered in about a week.
The war on terror is not state vs. state warfare.
As for Vietnam, the US military only "kind of" lost one battle the entire time. Our military did not lose the war.

Here's an example of American and coalition military skill. Operation Desert Storm. 325 coalition deaths, 35,000 Iraqi deaths. At the time, Iraq had the worlds 4th largest military.
Russia is a great country, but China is pretty much 3rd world to many of it's citizens.
Why have 19,000 nukes, when all you need is enough to kill everyone in the world?
We're both getting rid of them, though. Which is good.

@DieselGTX I take it you don't know what Desert Storm is. We weren't fighting terrorism. We were actually fighting the state of Iraq in the early 90's. They lost 35,000 soldiers, we lost 325. They had the world's 4th largest military at the time, and they surrendered in about a week.
The war on terror is not state vs. state warfare.
As for Vietnam, the US military only "kind of" lost one battle the entire time. Our military did not lose the war.

It was a long drawn out war, and should have ended earlier, but at least we got out of there. It was a public relations nightmare. Osama Bin Laden was successfully found and killed in a very special raid that was a great success.

Russians are good people. I know i was in the USSR in 1987 and they were very friendly and generous to we American students.
Part of the problems between the US and Russia were that Russia under the Tsars and the USSR were an "empire" that had many different peoples in it. So when those people tried to break away(Georgia, Baltic states, Finland etc.) and the US Govt supported those breakaway republics ...it naturally caused some resentment in Russians.
But the age of empires ended in WW1.

Russia was a single World power supported American freedom vs the British crown. Back to the mid19th century Russia has it's Baltic fleet taskforce based in NYC to proptect America. There is no natural reasons for nation to be a foes specially since they are not commies now.

@zipacna1980 they were never really commies, communism was before the revolution of 1917-1918, but they where not a very powerful government type, this changed when the Bolsheviks lead the revolution and commies gained its power, the communists minipulated everyone in russia who supported a new government to come and when they got into power, thousands of jews, christians and others where executed
