Absolutely beautiful - not just because the song itself is lovely (and particularly resonates with me because my own family come from Uist), but because Kate has such a sweet, pure voice. Any more songs posted from Kate? I've 'Googled', but no luck!

beautiful song about a beautiful place. My family moved to Lochmaddy in 1958 when I was 4 years old and for the next 10 years I grew up as an islander, learning the language and thinking of myself as being from Uist and being fiercely proud of that. My bubble was burst however when my parents decided to move back to England in 1968. Even after all these years though I still think of myself as an Islander (or exiled incomer if you prefer) and would go back tomorrow if I could!
