Took two Classic R&R songs and obviously didn't practice. Sounds messy and they are not professional enough to practice and it shows. Tom Petty and his band had "Not Fade Away" down pat, so did the Rolling Stones in 1964 and others I haven't listened to yet. Just a sloppy performance here.
Wow, I've just got to say, I like Jon BonJovi as much as any average person does, and I think he's a perfectly adequate singer, but he was either feeling really silly here, or is a very brave man to think he could trade off licks with Robin Zander. Robin kicked his ass. The look on Rick's face when Robin came up to sing told the whole story and it's a good thing for Jon that Robin stopped when he did.
Painful to watch. It should have gone back and forth with Zander because he could've added so much to that song with his range. Oh, well. CT still touring strong.
I like Bon Jovi and Cheap Trick and think they are both excellent bands. BUT...in this case Robin Zander really proved just how good he is. Sorry Jon, you pale in comparison...

BON JOVI KICK SHAEP TRICK ASS ALL THE TIME... METALLICA.POSION,WARRANT. GUNS AND ROSES ALSO BON JOVI IS BETTER DONT VBELIEVE???? ask to 1000 000 000 cant be wrong ricght??
Would have much rather heard Robin taking the entire vocals.
Bon Jovi cannot hold a candle to Robin Zander.
Bon Jovi did not understand Robin wanted to trade 'Who Do You Love' with "Not Fade Away", since they share the same Bo Diddley riff. It could have been a really cool mash-up, yet Bon Jovi was not sophisticated enough, or quick enough or smart enough to pick up on the improv.
All you Jovi-ites don't get your panties in a bunch ...She's A Little Runaway was a good tune. BJ's had one.
lol mate, im not raggin on cheap trick, but jovi are ridiculously succesful, so much more than cheap trick. and cheap trick do have great songs but jovi are just hit making machines.
btw listen to the key change in livin on a prayer and youll see that JBJ kicks zanders ass in the STUDIO but live... welll...
