@thomasvanner: There are three songs in the clip. The first song is Crazy Rhythms; which then segues into Fame, and afterwards is the ramp-up opening of Loveless Love. Both tracks are originals from the Crazy Rhythms album, one of the best albums of 1980.
@birth46day I never thought I was going to say this, but the kids today suck. Not just a little bit, but completely. After the 80s there wasn't much of anywhere left to go. It has been over about ten years now....I turned on the radio one day, and discovered that no matter where I turned the dial, only pure SHIT was coming out. Even the stations that tried to keep the Eighties going suck. They have no clue, and only overplay the same songs over and over.....remember when they said, "NO FUTURE?"
@beatcat22 I hear ya. I don't think the 80's will ever be topped when it comes to pop music. Now, no matter where you turn the "dial" it's mostly commercials with a little bit of "music" in between.
Demme's zenith remains this film. The soundtrack is incredible. Still remember seeing it on the big screen. Ray is one of the great antagonists of the modern era. And the soundtrack; Laurie Anderson, Jean Michel Jarre, Oingo Boingo, Jimmy Cliff, David Byrne, FYC, New Order...
@agnernai Many thanks for the reply - would have loved to have seen this on the big screen, instead I got to see Alex Cox introduce it on BBC2's Moviedrome in late 80s if my memory serves...
Top drawer movie and a terrific scene from it, thanks for posting this 1980s nostalgia! Anyone know what the 2nd song played on the clip is? Is it one of the Feelies own or another cover?
Woah! Mother of us all! Absolute legendary!

Something Wild will be a lot easier to find on DVD (and Blu-ray) as of May 10, 2011, when it will be released by the Criterion Collection.

The Feelies and this movie blew my mind.
Believe 2nd song is Loveless Love on the Feelies Crazy Rhythms release. Laurie Anderson song sounds like the one on Wings of Desire soundtrack.

The music at the end is composed by Laurie Anderson. (In 2003 she was named NASA's first artist in residence) See Big Science.

@thomasvanner The song is ''Crazy Rhythms'' from their first same album.
