@levi8696 I believe it is a Seymour Duncan '59 which is Duncan's version of a PAF considering the bridge is a Duncan in the CFH, the Dean From Hell has a Bill Lawrence L500XL @ the bridge and more than likely a DiMarzio PAF in the bridge. The L500XL wass Dime's pickup of choice used on the first three or four records, later he used Seymour Duncan copy of it called Dimebucker. Original Bill Lawrence L500XL's can be purchased for about $60 and are badass! I know two source that sell them.

Dime sold the blue guitar (originally a Red Dean ML) to get money to buy a Firebird. His friend Blaze, decided to trade his Kramer Pacer to get the guitar from the guy who got it. He tweaked the stock, hardware, and gave it the iconic paint job you see there. One day Dime asked if he could borrow the guitar (Dime was unaware that guitar was his Red Dean ML). Dime grew fond of the guitar and begged Blaze to sell it. Instead Blaze just gave to him.

Dime and that guitar were meant to be.

Buddy Blazed made the Dean From Hell for Dimebag before He even knew about it and it got sent to Dimes Door Via Fedex and Dime said that was too quick...but then figured out it was his old guitar. Dime never begged also Buddy sold it he never just gave it away to Dime cost Dime i think 2500 or something cant remember. Get your facts straight.

@Aug66dimebagDec04 also my '79 ml has the white part of the neck pickup towards the fretboard, but it isn't reversed, dime often changed the neck pick, also combining halfs of different humbuckers, he had also 2 bill lawrence on the blue one, one it the neck and one in the bridge position, there are some pictures where you can see it..Anyway, what changes in the sound if I reverse the pickups?

They didn't really there are alot of differences in the body shape and the head stock in the new copy compared to dimes DFH.

You can make your own DFH for about $2000 just need to source out a good 1981 ml
