  • oh dear I am now crying..typical with feed the birds. Touching or wot!

  • I would love to know what "Neptunus" is playing.

  • Neptunus is playing songs from the English 1930s performer George Formby. The first song is "With My Little Ukelele in My Hand" and the next song is "Chinese Laundry Blues", third song is "Hindoo Man" - you can find the originals in YouTube quite easily.

  • Nice to see one of these on You Tube. I wish I could see one up close.

  • 4 some reason the sound wont work on mine =-S The bits i could here however, is very good for all of the organs.

    Thanks 4 postin.

  • love Mary Poppins

  • yes it definitely is (Mary Poppins medley) and I should know because my pen freind is in the Broadway production of Mary Poppins...but if you are over in Broadway then book it because you WILL regret it if you don't!!!

  • Ive booked to see Mary Poppins on tour in December!

my freind is in the Broadway production of this as one of the lamplighters (swing) and the show is spectacular!

  • Who owned/owns the verbeeck Graham?

  • Eddy

I cant think of the guys name but if you have an older GDSF prog he was last there in 2003, he was along the old organ alley with Dawn of the Century and myself when i was tucked in with Roger and the Mortier. I think he comes from Gloucester.Look for a Verbeeck with a front made up of old Gavioli bits, yeh right???.

    Graham

  • @leach55 When I last saw the 52-key Verbeeck in this vid (at Dorset 1996 when I was 10!!) it was owned by Len Cullimore of Wotton under Edge, Gloucestershire. Does he still own it nowadays or does someone else, and is it indeed still rallied? It was originally built in 1985, and as Graham says the front was made by the owners from old Gavioli parts!

  • @ceredigio Yes its still owned by the Cullimore family. Len sadly had a stroke only recently so i believe it comes out rarely nowadays. Sad really because its a good sounding instrument.

  • mr. Cullimore

  • @draaiorgelverhuur Len Cullimore of Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, here in England. (I live in Gloucestershire as well) I believe he still owns it but suffers from ill health so it is rarely travelled nowadays.

  • Hi Graham,

Do you what the title of piece of music that's being played the Limonaire?

I've heard it being played on Chris Doobs & The Robinson's Gavioli's

    Ben

  • A very late reply, but it's "633 Squadron".

  • The first song is a "Mary Poppins"-Collection, if I am right...

  • your right, it is a very very long Mary Poppins selection, hence i had to edit it right down.

  • @leach55 its a very out of date Mary Poppisn selection too!

  • @harlechnorthwales Do you know who arranged it?

  • @DerOrgelfan Do you know who arranged it?

  • Great video Graham,

I've got 3 or 4 tapes of the Mortier "Neptunus"

when it used to come to the riverside festival in Nottingham.

    Ben
