Yes I would wrap the hair and lightly wrap the hair on top. I'd make sure not to mash the top part.

This is really cute, I am going to try this. I am like 2 weeks away from getting my retouch, and I had to flat iron my hair so my hair can lay down, but I love to have body and a little curl to my hair. I got choppy layers in about a month ago, and when it's bone straight, to me it looks a mess. I'll try it tonight, and take it down tomorrow before I go to work and see how it looks.
