Your engine is pinging at idle.... you need to adjust the spark timing.

I had one of these engines. I lasted only 200 hours before it self destructed. Carol Stream Motors did not honor the warranty.

what kind of air cooled diesel is running ? I need to find a place to buy parts for mine.its on a welder/generator i bought cheap.its missing and has a lil popping sound.. muffler red inside.

Don't even think about buying one of these as they only last 7 seconds before they are burnt out at 23,000 RPM running of nail varnish remover!!
