Aock2908: Its because intermarriage in Judaism is forbbiden. Its also unlikely your childern will be interested in Judaism if the Father is of a different religion. Assimilation into non Jewish culture is also forbiden, hence the importance of a Jewish couple raising Jewish children.

2. There are many types of Jews living in the U.S, of different religious backgrounds, as seen in this commercial. This also applies to differences in opinions of intermarriage.

3. How Jews choose to marry says nothing about our relationships with gentiles and the non-Jewish community on a whole. Just because we don't necessary marry them does not mean that we reject them or the country we live in together.
