Queen's entire performance at Live Aid ... yeah, ok ... they were all great perfomances but if you want to really see a live performance, this was the best of all-time! Look at how she holds the mic, look at how she controls the crowd... the way she moves her hands, eyes... she has them and she knows it! when watching this... listen to the VOICE! ... damn, she's good!

Ok, once and for all, she will be considered one of the greatest of all time, if not the greatest. At this stage of her life, her voice would not be what it was back in her prime anyway. And guess what, we all have degradation in things that we are doing or have done. That being said, this was absolutely masterful. Turn the lights low, close your eyes and let your mind wander as your ears feast on this masterpiece. I feel this to my core every time I hear this song. Absolutely breathtaking.
When she sang this song I bet she never imagined that it would come true in her life. Having such amazing, God given talent and losing it because of drugs. She would have been the greatest singer of our time and influenced music as we know it. We probably wouldn't have the likes of the fakeness of what is going on now. How truly sad.

She even said it on Oprah. At her best, Celine could come close to Whitney, but she could never surpass her. Celine is brilliant though. And Celine's singing Oh Holy Night was lip synched. It's the exact same version as the album version. Still amazing though but it wasn't live.

Now that's just pure damn talent right there! No gimicks, no autotune, no gyrating in spandex, no being half naked, just pure vocal perfection! Everyone else is a joke compared to this woman ect. Celine, Mariah, and Patti, but even they lack in comparison. Whitney's clarity and ability to sing in all registers with almost equal dexterity with that kind of vocal control really is impressive.
I can't argue with you, but I would need to see some Ella F. live. If you do some more surfing on Whitney, this woman was a BEAST. I slept on Whitney back in the day, but definitely appreciate what GOD blessed us with now.

I used to watch this video on VH1 when I was a kid and loved listening to how she changed the song up and did it "out of the box" style. This one is an all time favorite of mine. Love it, love it, love it!!!
This performance is absolutely flawless. This woman is a BEAST, period!!!!!!! At about 2:25, she starts to tease you, then at about 3:25 to 3:50, she shuts it down. And in case of those who didn't know(i.e. the 12 dislikes), she destroys it at about 4:22, and then takes it up one more notch at about 4:59 (with didn't we, Didn't we, didn't we). Just INCREDIBLE. I had to get up from my seat and walk away the first time I heard this, couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Whitney Houston doesn't even have the capacity left to grasp the meaning about which she's singing in this song. She is part of why I now realize the world is what it is. On a positive note, if you grasp it and run with it, it can be something amazing. There was a time when all I wanted to do was meet Whitney Houston...but reality is what it is...I hope I never cross her disgusting path.

"Celine has better pitch and doesnt hAve to strain to hit notes like whitney does" Celine is a great singer, but she sure did strained a lot. She also lip synched many of her live performances. Celine belting Eb5's and above becomes either way too throaty or squealy. Whitney always has that beautiful ring/resonannce throughout her whole belting register. Whitney also has a better sense of pitch than Celine.

This was a good performance but check out Celine singin Oh Holy Night...she blows Whitney out of the water! Celine has better pitch and doesnt hAve to strain to hit notes like whitney does.:). @rocco24a Even Celine will tell you she's not a better singer than Whitney. Celine is a huge Whitney fan and has stated many times that she learned how to sing from imitating Whitney. She even said it on Oprah. At her best, Celine could come close to Whitney, but she could never surpass her. Celine is brilliant though. And Celine's singing Oh Holy Night was lip synched. It's the exact same version as the album version. Still amazing though but it wasn't live.

Now that's just pure damn talent right there! No gimicks, no autotune, no gyrating in spandex, no being half naked, just pure vocal perfection! Everyone else is a joke compared to this woman ect. Celine, Mariah, and Patti, but even they lack in comparison. Whitney's clarity and ability to sing in all registers with almost equal dexterity with that kind of vocal control really is impressive.

it's very rare, that I hear performances where I have to fight back tears. Whitney Houston , no matter her ups and downs, you have to give her credit for being one the most memorable, (uniquely so), voices on the planet. In a world where we are surrounded with the infamous and the mediocre, we have to remember to show love and appreciation, for the TRUE talents we have left.

This is Whitney's best performance ever. Actually, this is the best live performance I have seen and heard, period. Whitney is truly the voice and she has such a beautiful soul. You can see you is really a beautiful person inside and out.

This performance is absolutely flawless. This woman is a BEAST, period!!!!!!! At about 2:25, she starts to tease you, then at about 3:25 to 3:50, she shuts it down. And in case of those who didn't know(i.e. the 12 dislikes), she destroys it at about 4:22, and then takes it up one more notch at about 4:59 (with didn't we, Didn't we, didn't we). Just INCREDIBLE. I had to get up from my seat and walk away the first time I heard this, couldn't believe what I was hearing.
